I tried drawing it again
How do I improve this more? I will draw it again, but what should I do? How do I bring out the eyes more, the nose is a tiny bit hard too, I tried outlining it, but I realised there is more shadow playing in it. It’s actually way hard than I thought.

Always go from large shapes and adjust as you begin to add more detail. Make sure you complete all of the training videos, that will help. The lesson on proportions will help you get better results too.
A sweet treat
A cupcake illustration in my sketchbook. Lots of tone and textures used.

Excellent
Some of my recent drawings
I been monitoring the community (even tho it may seem I'm not as active at times) and is keeping track of all the new drawings and new students! welcome! The other job I doodle in, recently had a crucial employee leaving the company. Giving I'm the jack of all trade and it's real estate a whole bunch of random stuff all fell on me. So was a little busy. But here are 3 recent drawings (use arrow to move to right) I've done as I strive to become more active again. hope I myself haven't forgotten everything! (I'll be making a work shop going over mainly the starting portion (like 1st 30min to 1 hour - rest is just boring fine tuning) of each drawing for my premium community. I know it seems like my subjects are biased (It kinda is, but i finished drawing of an old gentleman, need to edit and upload that at soon) cheers!

@Michelle Lewis Hi 🤚
my current project
I wanted to show you my current project. I seem to have been bitten by the micropen bug lately. I've been working on it a lot.

I like the scene and the design behind the characters. I don’t know what it is called/named.
Cube & Sphere
Here it is! Finger blended, I need to make myself a blending stick.

They’re good Gary, but you still have a lot more room for the darker values. Use charcoal to get the darkest blacks

@Gary Thomas They look much better. The reason I suggested charcoal is because you can get a wider range of values including black. I thought it was going to be messy and get all over everything but it washes off pretty quickly, and gives me the results I wanted. The tutorials are invaluable. Check them out and then try the next reference with some charcoal pencils, a kneaded eraser, and a blending stump. There are drawing kits with all of those things in it. They’re usually less than $10 in my area.

Had a stroke, couldn’t walk w/o a cane, about 5 yrs later, I felt like I had to draw all the time. 5 yrs later, I can walk again and draw portraits.
