Yaprendí que...
Hola mi gente... listen, this space is all about reflection. We are not trying to be perfect. We are sharing what we know with other people along the same journey. No pressure. Come to this space whenever you learn something new and you want to share with the community! You may have something to share that others need to learn too! Begin each post in this space as follows: "Yaprendí que (insert something new you learned)" If you want to be gramatically correct because you are working to improve your writing skills in Spanish- you can write "Ya aprendí que..." instead. Consider the following for your posts in this space: Anything you’ve learned or realized recently about: - a new vocab or grammar concept in Spanish - your process and what is helping you or keeping you stuck - interactions you've had in Spanish and what they taught you You can write in English, Spanish, or Spanglish.

Aprendí: enfúndamelo-bag it up for me
¿Qué estás leyendo?
Feliz jueves, Yaprendices :)) ¿Qué están leyendo en español esta semana? What are you all currently reading in Spanish this week? Or what's the last thing you read in Spanish if you're not actively reading anything. If you're looking for a reading resource- check out the site linked below! I've used this often to facilitate reading practice in my one on one classes. https://hablacultura.com/

@Christina Golson se trata sobre Xiomara Batista, una chica dominico-americana de 15 años en Harlem que está luchando por encontrar su propia voz. Usa la poesía (slam) para lidiar con una crianza muy religiosa, las expectativas de su familia, la imagen de su cuerpo y su primer amor. Es una historia potente de autodescubrimiento y empoderamiento. Muy interesante
Una oración = 1 sentence
¡Hola Yaprendices! This week's challenge is one sentence - Una oración. Share in the comments one thing you are doing, or already did yesterday or last week, that made you feel proud -- in Spanish! It doesn’t need to be perfect. You can even use one word, a phrase, or a song lyric if that feels easier. The goal is to practice expressing yourself and show that using Spanish is about connecting, not performing. 💡 Tip: If you don’t know the words, write them in English first — then we’ll work together to translate them!

Ayer estuve hablando con gente de otros países y hasta los acentos más duros los pillé, así que por eso me siento orgullosa.

@Christina Golson Los países Chile y España ufff. Estoy acostumbrada hablar con los Dominicanos así que quería hablar con otras personas y acostumbrarme a otros acentos 😅
