Level 2 takes the same arrangement and adds simple bass notes, giving it a fuller fingerstyle sound while still keeping it beginner-friendly. It's designed as a natural stepping stone towards full fingerstyle arrangements. These are designed to help beginners work up to my full arrangements. Hey everyone, This week I wanted to tell you about something I've been working on that should make learning fingerstyle guitar much easier for beginners. Most of my arrangements are available as either a Full Version or an Easy Version, but I've recently started creating two additional beginner levels: 🎵 Level 1 – Melody only. No bass notes, no fingerstyle patterns, just the tune. 🎵 Level 2 – Melody plus simple bass notes. This helps bridge the gap between playing melodies and playing full fingerstyle arrangements. The idea is to give beginners a clear path: Level 1 → Level 2 → Easy Version → Full Version To give you an example, I've created a new Level 1 version of Forever In Blue Jeans, and you can find it free in the Classroom tab right now. The Level 2 version is available here. If there's a song from the library that you'd like me to simplify into a Level 1 or Level 2 version, let me know in the comments. Hey, I’m going to make a small change to the free materials schedule. From now on, I’ll be uploading both the free song tab and the free exercise together every Monday. That means you’ll get everything in one go, and I won’t have to keep pestering you with extra emails during the week! I actually decided this yesterday and I’m still finishing this week’s videos, so just for this week everything will be available tomorrow instead. After that, Mondays will be the new regular release day. This is also a good reminder that the free songs and exercises are only available on a weekly rotation, so make sure you download last week’s materials today — once they’re replaced tomorrow, they’re gone for good.
