Bold take: yoga nidra isn’t a sleep practice 🤫
I'll say it again for the people in the back: yoga nidra is not a sleep practice. It's a consciousness practice that happens to heal sleep as a side effect. When we reduce it to "the thing that helps you sleep," we accidentally cut off 90% of what's available. One of our Peace in Rest members put it this way: "It's not a quick fix if you're not in a place to commit to setting some time aside. It's spiritual. It is a practice." And another: "I approached it to get better sleep and then I had no idea the depth of yoga nidra." So here's my question for you this week: What's the part of this practice you didn't see coming? What surprised you? What opened up? What shifted that you weren't looking for? I want to hear it all. The unexpected stuff is where the real teaching lives.

I wasn`t expecting that Yoga Nidra (but especially Nova Nidra) would change my persepctive on rest. That it`s not only comfortable, but needed AND creating a deeper connection to myself and to the mysteries of the unknown. It changed my really long yoga practice just as much as Kundalini Yoga did. It works in begalf of deep trust, a real cool Coolness :) and much more creativity and courage.

Oh, I´m intrigued - can`t wait to practice it - exactly what`s right for me for the day after THE DARK KNIGHT...🥰
Where does it all go!?
Somewhere along the way You learned that your feelings were a problem to manage. Too much. Too intense. Too hard to be around. 😭 So you got good at holding it together. Being useful. Constantly moving. Keeping juuuuuust enough distance from the bubbling underneath So you could still function. But here's what that costs: You can't rest when you're bracing or hiding yourself. The body won't rest when peace is held at arm's length. Real rest (the deep kind) requires that you feel safe enough to let what's there actually move. Not so you can be another problem to solve, but so you can just let it move. This is the second of the 5 States of Rest... (LEARN MORE) Each state gets its own month inside the membership I'm opening this week. Its own practice. Its own nervous system map. Its own way home. POLL | Which feels more true right now?

Rest
Who's tired of being tired... 💙
You've slept. You've rested. You've tried. And you wake up... carrying the same weight you went to bed with. Your body is tired but dropping in isn't happening! There's a low hum of desire that never quite turns off. So close... Jaw clenched. Shoulders up. System on. You would if you could, but you can't! This is what happens when the body learned that rest wasn't safe... and kept holding you up long after the threat was gone. Let's be real... 'tryin' isnt working. You have already 'tried' everything. You need your nervous system to get a signal it may have never received: it's safe to land now. That's what I work with. This week I'm introducing something I've been building for a long time... the Five States of Rest. A monthly practice membership where we go deep into each state, one at a time, with Yoga Nidra designed for exactly where you are. More on that tomorrow. SHARE BELOW | where does your body hold the most tension? I read every one.

We’re standing at a threshold. JOIN ME LIVE 1/22 As we approach the final shedding of the Snake, there’s a quiet invitation moving through the collective. A releasing of that which once protected us, patterns that carried us through, and identities that no longer fit who we are becoming. I know, I know, I've been on it about this, but we're still slithering out of this h'OM'ies! This is about listening to what’s naturally ready to fall away. Keep listening! This next chapter within the Nova Nidra community is here to support that transition. A space to deepen your practice, refine how you rest, and meet yourself with greater honesty and gentleness as we step into a new era. Deeper rest doesn’t mean disengaging from life. It means learning how to be present without bracing. (Soften your jaw) As we move forward together, we’ll continue exploring practices that help regulate the nervous system, integrate what you’ve lived, and create space for what wants to emerge next, without pressure, without urgency. If you feel something shifting beneath the surface, trust it. If rest is calling you in a new way, lean in. This is a new chapter. One of shedding, remembering, and moving forward with purpose. Type 'PURPOSE' if you're with me! 🤍
