Aces are so common that we don’t even notice them. I was talking to a community leader about wanting to be a gymnast as a child and when she ran home to tell her mom, she wanted be a gymnast. Her mom said oh so you wanna break your neck. As innocent, as that is as common as that is that sentence is. I’m and of itself was a hard ACE. You know why, cause she shattered the little girl hope, she gave her a traumatic vision of being a Gymnast, and she didn’t make her whole again. And that is how you heal from ACEs, you have to be made whole in the area that cut you.
