Aces are so common that we don’t even notice them. I was talking to a community leader about wanting to be a gymnast as a child and when she ran home to tell her mom, she wanted be a gymnast. Her mom said oh so you wanna break your neck. As innocent, as that is as common as that is that sentence is. I’m and of itself was a hard ACE. You know why, cause she shattered the little girl hope, she gave her a traumatic vision of being a Gymnast, and she didn’t make her whole again. And that is how you heal from ACEs, you have to be made whole in the area that cut you. If you can relate to some of the things that you grew up with as a child and may question whether it’s an ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) put it in a comment let’s talk about it.
