What is the future of Jiu-Jitsu?
It's really anyone's guess! Personally, I only see it growing exponentially. And it's this generation (us) who will lead the way. What do you think it will look like in say, the next ten years. And where do you see yourself at that point?

I pray everybody gets some training in today before you start enjoying the rest of your weekend. There’s nothing better than starting the day on the mats getting a little sweat in, sharpening your skills, and feeding that warrior spirit. Let’s start the weekend off right by grinding your craft. Whether it’s drilling, rolling, studying technique, or just showing up and putting the work in, every round matters. Progress in Jiu-Jitsu comes from consistency, not perfection. Your task by the end of the weekend: Come up with two goals you want to accomplish this upcoming week. Maybe it’s: - Hitting a specific sweep or submission in live rolls - Training an extra day this week - Drilling a position you struggle with - Focusing on staying calm and controlling your breathing Whatever it is, write it down and commit to it. The people who get better are the ones who prepare to get better. Let’s build momentum heading into the week. Stay positive. Encourage your teammates. Keep showing up. See you on the mats. Let’s work. 💪🥋

My weekend goals: -Workout -Attend Sunday open mat -Choke @Jami Blair
First session after beginners course
It was quite a shock, 1 hour sparring, 30 mins technique. Instead of 1,45 hour technique and 15-30 min sparring the first 8 weeks. The tempo is more even and in a level where you can manage longer periods, compared to beginners who max out on all. I still don’t know what I’m doing. I made it anyway and the pic is there to show some evidence only.

🔥 HUGE SHOUT OUT TO MY BROTHER JONAH SHOOK 🔥
Last night my boy @Jonah Shook got promoted to Purple Belt and I couldn’t be more fired up for him. When y’all see him in the gym, make sure you give him a shout and show him some love. That promotion is 100% earned. 🟪🥋 Jonah and I actually got promoted to Blue Belt on the same night three years ago, and since then we’ve just kept showing up, grinding rounds, and building a real friendship on the mats. That’s one of the coolest parts of Jiu-Jitsu you don’t just train together, you go through the struggle together. Early mornings, hard rounds, getting smashed, learning, growing… all of it. And honestly… I knew it was only a matter of time before he hit that next level. Jonah has always been one of those guys who just keeps showing up, keeps putting in the work, and keeps getting better. Seeing someone you came up with keep climbing is something special. I’m proud of you brother and grateful for the friendship. Let’s keep rolling and keep getting better. 👊 Purple Belt looks good on you.
