An idea I had back in 2018 💭
What if Instagram worked like a creative canvas instead of a fixed grid? You could: • Reorder your feed like Tetris keeping photo sizes original (optional toggle) • Drag, swap, rotate posts without deleting history • Edit carousels after posting, delete, add, crop, stylize, undo • Attach a different song to each photo • Link a website directly to a post • Send people straight to streaming platforms • Connect your own music catalog (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Videos etc.) • Treating your profile like an album/theme rollout, not just a timeline capture Even deeper: Posts could understand intent, helping creators organize, narrate, and evolve their work instead of chasing algorithms. Ah I dream of this stuff. Less anxiety. Less noise. More meaning. Sound, visuals, memory, all editable, all expressive. Just an idea that’s been living in my head for a while.

I like it. It sounds like the best parts of SoundCloud, Pinterest, and insta mixed together for creatives. I could imagine this being so good for all artists. Musicians could get their credit directly to their streaming service. Sponsored posts would be more clean cut. And artists could organize their work by theme, vibe, or views rather than date. Maybe in a perfect world
Drop your Instagram bio. I’ll reply with one thing I’d tighten
I’ll reply with one thing I’d tighten to make it clearer, sharper, or more effective. If your bio feels “fine” but not convincing, this is usually why.

@Cole Kieffer thank you really appreciate the advice
Getting back into it
College’s been kicking my behind and I haven’t really had time to animate. Finally able to get a small little editing project for Derrick Rose’s Jersey retirement done and I am trying to get back into the groove of things after months of not creating content. Sorry if I haven’t replied or been distant to any of you, was just trying to lock in on classes.

@Jordan Watkins thank you. Probably gonna take on more highly passionate ideas I have that aren’t straining just to get my motivation back up
Cool Reels & Content Ideas We Should Try 👀🎥
Hey Creatives👋 I’ve been seeing some really cool reels and content ideas floating around lately, and it got me thinking what’s something you’ve seen that made you stop scrolling and go “okay… I should try that”? Could be a reel format, hook style, storytelling angle, or even a trend you’d love to put your own spin on. Drop links, describe the idea, or just share the vibe, let’s steal and inspire each other. What’s one piece of content you’re excited to test next?

I’ve seen a lot of animators using the horizontal aspect ratio recently which I have always preferred as a creator and viewer but was scared to try because of their generally bad performance. However after seeing some of these animations I think I’m willing to take more risk and test the different aspect ratio

I'm from Idaho and my creative business is Medema Studio. I offer primarily videography and 3D product animation services but am dipping my toe into paid advertising this year for my ecommerce and drop shipping clients. I'd like to be held accountable for my personal growth, I typically prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front of it so it'll be good to use this as a platform to reach goals and see what works for others. I'm not sure how I feel about Skool yet, typically I despise people who sell courses but I figure it'll be a good accountability tracker and I'm interested to see techniques other people use for social algorithms, formatting, Meta ads, brand launches and funnel building. For fun I like to work on my business, rock climb, and I bartend one night a week at a fancy distillery to subtly hand out business cards to business owners. Here's my workspace:

welcome Max, nice to see a fellow 3d animator in this space. As far as paid courses go I can say that this one doesn’t sell its creative soul for profit. It definitely pushes the creativity aspect of itself before meeting a quota and I hope you can enjoy and see that for yourself
