End of Summer Break
We're heading into the end of summer, and it's time to look ahead towards the end of year. Personally the summer has been super eventful, between moving across the country on short notice, having both a Muay Thai fight and BJJ competition in under 2 months, training the Muscle Mentorship guys, taking care of some family business, and managing to squeeze in my own lifting. As things are slowing down a bit I'll be back on the content creation wagon again, with more emails, posts, and videos coming soon. Recently though I had a realization that I wanted to share with you that's core to what makes the training we do here work so well; the concept of a Workout Stack. Guys who have followed me for a long time, and especially those who have worked with my 1-on-1 know, I preach doing the most important things consistently well. Savage excellence at the basics. And that's how we build programs. Hit only the most necessary things, frequently and consistently. We don't do workout splits like Upper/Lower or Push/Pull/Legs. We use Workout Stacks. It's a checklist of the most important things we need to do each day/training session. Laser-like focus on getting those things done and block out all of the noise of everything else that doesn't accelerate us towards the goal. Just like you have a stack of supplements you take, we have workout stacks to focus on the biggest ROI exercises. This keeps things simple and easy to stay consistent on so you can enjoy the rest of your life outside of training. Because that's what we're doing this for, after all. Anyways, I'll be re-opening spots for working with me 1-on-1 next month, keep an eye out for that. If you want details and to get on the waitlist ahead of time, shoot me a DM. And comment below with what your top priority is for the rest of this year. Doesn't have to be fitness related, just the most important thing you're working on between now and January.

Getting in great shape is what I am putting a lot of emphasis on. Beyond that, I wanna see more cheddar
Zooming Out on Training
Something I'm guilty of (and I know others do it too) is getting so focused on the process of going through training that I forget to take a step back to evaluate things. What have I actually been doing, what's been working, what hasn't, what should I been doing but haven't, how can I refine things a bit more, etc. The past week has been all about finding a new balance between lifting, training BJJ and Muay Thai again, managing some nagging "injuries" and not losing the momentum I built earlier this year with getting a shitton of steps in. Haven't been hitting 100% of what I wanted to get done, but still beating the minimum standard of being active and doing something almost every day. The main challenge going forward is recovery and finding ways to get steps in now that I'm living in a new environment. Now's your chance. Zoom out on what you've been doing and evaluate how you're progressing overall. Share those observations in the comments and get some inspiration from others on what you can tweak to refine things further. And respond in the poll with how many days you trained last week:

I have not been walking as much lately as I was, it’s been kinda inconsistent the past few weeks. However I gained about 8lbs since I started this new workout cycle. Some of it is I’m sure fat but tracking the lifts week over week I have gotten more volume in each set so some of it is muscle too so there is progress somewhere.
Travel Workout
On the road, getting a quick lift in at a friend’s garage. 88 degrees outside, banging out 500 total swings and 20 bent presses each arm. Been on vacation diet mode the past 10 days so a little puffier than normal but we’re dialing back in next week. Edit: Turns out direct video uploads on here suck, so here's the embedded video on YouTube.
