What an amazing question! All the neighbourhood kids playing in the streets, making up games with whatever we could find, without adult supervision. We'd play until sunset or until we got hungry and went home to eat. No scheduled playdates, no parents coordinating or driving kids around. You just went outside, found your friends, and played, anytime, every day.
