Tesla model 3 Update
Update on previous post. vehicle now fixed no fault! - wheel alignment re-adjusted for 2nd time. still fault - front camera calibration through service mode.- same fault - EPAS calibration through service mode - same fault - steering angle offset detection- through service mode- same fault - FINALLY - EPAS ESP CLEAR ANGLE OFFSET - no fault on dash, regeneration now working. i have a love hate relationship with Tesla. Tesla dealer portal for wiring diagrams, parts catalog, labour time, removal and replacement all free on tesla.service.com you dont need a scan tool to check fault codes, live data and reset certain adaptations, its all through service mode. you cant just phone Tesla like its TPS for parts and availability. You have to register as a business on tesla.service.com with all of your garage information, then you have the ability "add to basket". Just priced a coolant bottle for another tesla and that 5 days estimate delivery(basically in stock). fault codes are completely different on tesla than a normal car!

Got a tesla model 3 in tomorrow with traction control light on dash and multiple warning on dash. did a wheel alignment and reset adaptation for "EPAS relearn" fault still there. sccm (steering angle sensor) relearn with the dealer tool, i get a fault to say the requirement is not met. every customer comes in for diagnostics they fill out a form with questions, one of the question is have you had any work carried out recently. The customer came to collect vehicle last week to rebook for futher investigation and said "it kwikfit fault, just had some work from them" WHY DID YOU NOT TELL US THAT BEFORE! Wish me luck tomorrow, it make another post with all my findings with much detailed info

nicely repaired 👍
Double check your component connector!
Gents… I’ll be honest, I’m sure plenty of others have done this too Volvo XC70 in with front and rear screenwash inoperative. One of our techs unplugged the washer pump connector ready for me to test powers and grounds. No activation to the pump, so I pulled wiring diagrams from Alldata and checked the BCM connector locations. According to the diagram, with the circuit inactive both pins at the washer pump should have a ground path. Tested it… one wire had no earth path. “Perfect” — wiring fault confirmed. Glovebox out, BCM accessed, checked the same two wires directly at the BCM… both grounds present there 🤔 At this point I’m thinking:“If there’s a break or corrosion, it’ll be under the bonnet or around the wheel arch.” So off comes the inner arch… Found the issue straight away. The tech had unplugged the washer LEVEL sensor… not the washer pump 😂 Power and Ground present Faulty washer pump all along. Moral of the story:Before reaching for the wiring diagrams… make sure you’re testing the right component first and never trust other techs working with you 😅
