Loved this one today. A good reminder that weโ€™re not just improving with Christ, but made COMPLETELY new. As if past doesnโ€™t even exist. Nobody has strayed too far from Him, and anyone who seeks Him will find Him. Itโ€™s a comforting reminder.

Discussion Question ๐Ÿค“ 12/4/25
Here's a discussion question based on today's Daily Bible Teaching: Why do you think God allows the suffering and persecution on His favored or chosen ones? This is a common theme in the Hebrew bible and even what Jesus prepares us for. Does it keep us humble? Or does it simply cause us to submit in trust? What do yall think?

This is always a subject that Iโ€™ve wrestled with myself. It can be easy to see God dealing with us in a way that is beyond our understanding, and question Him. If God is all loving, and all powerful, why would He allow us to go through such difficult times? But we have to remember that our hope is not in our circumstances in life, but rather in Him. In Hebrews 12:7 we read โ€œIf you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?โ€ When we look at the Greek for โ€œchastenโ€ itโ€™s โ€œฯ€ฮฑฮนฮดฮตฮฏฮฑโ€ (paideia) meaning discipline, or nurturing instruction. What kind of God, who loves his children as any loving father loves his sons, would let us live a life full of sin, separate from Him, without correcting our course? God has the authority to take everything from us. To break us, to bring us to a point where we have nothing left but to cry out to Him. To make juice, fruit needs to be crushed. To make oil, olives need to be crushed. He will crush us and squeeze us if it means that something of the utmost value and magnitude will come out on the other end. So that we put our faith in Jesus Christ, and receive eternal life.
Serious Question
This is the age old question ... But is it to early to be listening to Christmas music? If no, then what song do you like the most? If yes, when is the right time??

Sorry Iโ€™m a little late to this, but, I usually would think itโ€™s too early, but I got hit with the Christmas spirit early this year ๐Ÿ˜ฌ something about this cold weather man, whatโ€™s crazy is I usually am of the belief that you need to wait until AFTER thanksgiving at the very earliest to start doing anything revolving Christmas, but this year I started listening to Christmas music and decorating at the very beginning of November ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ maybe Iโ€™ve had a change of heart.

My testimony
Iโ€™ve got kind of a crazy one so buckle up. Like many of you, I grew up in church, but never quite felt the connection to God, or even understood why we did the things that we did. I tragically lost both of my parents, which led me down a path of skepticism, which turned into atheism, and eventually turned into utter nihilism. As you can imagine, I tried to drown myself in the things of this world, hoping it would achieve something, but it never quite patched up this deep hole in my heart. I struggled to find any purpose or meaning in life, almost living angrily at God, thinking if he exists, why would he let something like that happen? As I was subtly starting to consider getting more into religion, I started dating this girl and wound up getting involved in a โ€œchurchโ€ that, looking back in retrospect, completely twisted and used the scripture in a way that fit their narrative, and put their own spin on it. I slowly started to realize I was in more of a cult than I was a church. I started to think about how my mom and dad wouldโ€™ve felt about it, and Iโ€™ve always looked up to my father as my hero. I found some of my dadโ€™s old notebooks in which he wrote his thoughts on lots of scripture, itโ€™s been nice, kind of like having Bible study with him. This ultimately led me to build more and more of a relationship with Jesus, and I decided to put all of my faith in HIM alone, and no one else. Through Him, I have been set free from the bondage of my sin, and has been the best decision Iโ€™ve ever made. So here I am, trying to build my relationship with Him, my understanding of His word, and to build relationships with fellow followers of Christ.
