✒️ Bounce & Flow Brush Calligraphy Mini Challenge: February 2–4
Hosted by @Alina Snepste of Creative Feel Designs Join us right here in the HobbyScool Skool community for a gentle, 3-day Bounce & Flow Brush Calligraphy Mini Challenge led by Alina Snepste. This challenge is designed to help you loosen up your lettering and explore rhythm, spacing, and expressive movement—without pressure. Perfect for beginners and experienced letterers who want to soften their style and play with bounce. Here’s how it works: 📅 Feb 2 – Day 1: Bounce BasicsWe’re kicking things off with a floral, summery prompt—“marigold glow.”Alina will guide you through simple drills and show you how to move from baseline lettering into gentle bounce, letter by letter. 📅 Feb 3 – Day 2: Spacing & RhythmWe’ll letter the quote:“All good things are wild and free” — ThoreauYour challenge is to letter it twice—once condensed, once airy—to feel how spacing changes the flow. 📅 Feb 4 – Day 3: Composition & PlanningWe’ll bring everything together with a longer quote and learn how to plan layout, balance bounce, and create a cohesive lettering piece. ✨ What to know: • Beginner-friendly • No perfection required • Share as much or as little as you like • Focused on play, flow, and exploration 👉 Comment below if you’re joining us!

Mini Envelope Journal
So last night I played around with mini envelopes to create a simple journal. It’s not complete but I hope to finish it this weekend I’m not totally into Valentine’s Day yet so I’ve been testing things out to see if I fall in love with any of these different projects and then create one with a Valentine theme Still on the hunt for inspiration

Flower Power
This is today’s project , client wants over the top flowers, never tried this but here it is , fabric cover with patch work, silk flowers, gems , and two signatures . Both signatures are floating and can be added to. The lace closure is elastic and very soft so it doesn’t pull on the flowers

January is National Hobby Month
Which means we get to talk about our favorite topic. At HobbyScool, we believe hobbies are more than pastimes — they’re powerful tools for creativity, clarity, and confidence. Some people use their hobbies to relax. Some to express themselves. Some to build businesses. All are valid. All matter. So I’m curious:What hobby has made the biggest impact on your life — creatively, emotionally, or even financially? Drop it in the comments 👇You might inspire someone else to finally start theirs.
