hey hi there! this course is so accessible and inspiring. it’s honestly the way i’ve been wanting to make films to get rolling so i thank you AJ for putting this together for us! i recently got tapped by the director of the award winning (ladeefreakingdaaaah woot woot!) clown troop i am in to produce her short as proof of concept for the feature she’s written. she has access to a jaw dropping location and has a fabulous story in the genres and style that i am wanting to create within. i am in warp speed learning mode. very grateful that i have access to this community and other relationships. i know there has been some talk of deferring payment for crew and creating structure for the back end and i am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of that, or if perhaps that could be a topic of conversation on a group call, or be pointed towards a respected source on the matter. i am often the person in projects of all kinds who thinks about these things so i would really like to be articulate and have some wisdom gleaned in my direction on the matter. a long post, thank you for reading. wishing you all and your collaborations great success and longevity!

Hello One Grand Filmmakers! I am reporting in from the One Grand Film Group to say that as of July 4th I have an official PICTURE LOCK on my One Grand Film, "Hey, Juniper!", that I shot in March of 2024. Color grading and scoring are underway. I had absolutely ZERO filmmaking experience before joining One Grand Film but I trusted the process and here I am! Anyway, just putting a plug out there for any of you doubting yourselves. I hope you will just gather up whoever and whatever you can and make your art! I mean, I want to see it! 🌟
