Apple Liquid Glass - New Design Language and OS direction
Just watched Apple’s Liquid Glass design language reveal from WWDC. It’s not just a visual update. Liquid Glass seems to introduce a more responsive, layered, and expressive UI across Apple platforms. It uses translucency, depth, and motion in a way that feels fluid and alive next gen even. The design seems to also want to unify experiences across macOS, iOS, and visionOS. Think of it as Apple’s next big step toward organic design in my view, kind of reminds me of Opera Air as well. A few things stood out: - The blur and transparency aren’t decorative — they create real depth. - Surfaces subtly respond to motion, light, and interaction, It feels tactile even though it’s entirely digital. If you’re into apple apps and design, this is worth keeping an eye on and also the figma community page in terms of what people already start playing around with. It’s clearly built with longevity and cross-platform fluidity in mind. ---- FYI, The balance seems to sit on their rule of applying Liquid glass, simply to the navigational layer, not content layer.

🎯 Escape the Feature Factory 🎯
If your UX role is limited to designing screens—without research, testing, or strategy—you’re in a feature factory, not a real UX role. So how do you break free & build influence? 💡 3 Steps to Take Back Control: 🔥 Advocate for UX – Frame research as risk-reduction & highlight other benefits. 🔥 Speak the language of business – Connect UX to revenue, retention & efficiency. 🔥 Ask for forgiveness, not permission – Run small usability tests & prove value. 💬 Have you experienced a feature factory? Share with us in the comments if you have found ways to break out of it, either as a designer yourself, or as a leader of designers.

Once stakeholders see that research can save dev time or cut down on support issues, they start paying attention. - As for Speaking the language of business is a key topic, and we discuss it in Module 4 - of the design systems course we will be releasing.

Looking for Feedback on My Clothing Store Wireframes
Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a case study for a clothing store. I've put together a set of wireframes and would really appreciate any feedback you might have! Here’s the Figma link: https://www.figma.com/design/cuRHSYq9bb0b6rCMrRM6Wn/Wireframes?node-id=0-1&t=12JM35KDe9x0ezCG-1 I’m not entirely sure if you’ll be able to view it and interact with it as a prototype. If you run into any issues and can’t use it as a prototype, feel free to message me and I’ll either help you access it or share an alternative version. Constructive feedback is more than welcome – whether it’s on the flow, usability, layout, or anything else. Thanks so much in advance for your time and input! Just a heads-up: I don’t have much experience in UI yet, and I know I haven’t strictly followed all the design rules when it comes to things like padding and margins. That said, I’ve enrolled in a UI course to help me build a stronger foundation and support my upskilling journey. Best Jay
