Reflexes
I just came home from a fun lunch with friends, I took my shoes off and was relaxing when my left foot began throbbing right in the area of the kidney reflex! I have chronic kidney disease caused by my kidneys being 1/2 the size of normal kidneys. This has happened before. I usually work on it to relieve the pain. Does anyone else have reflex pain related to a current body issue? How do you handle it?? Thank you!

I love combining oils and reflexology too.
My Favorite Hand Lotion Aroma
Hey All, It's been a little while since I have posted anything here, and recently I was complimented on the aroma of my hand cream/lotion. One of my favourite essential oil duos to add to an unscented cream or lotion base is two Australian essential oils. First, make a stock blend in your 5ml orifice reducer bottle. You can choose between either stock blend, depending on which oil you want to stand out more. I personally love Rosalina Rose: Rosalina Rose Synergy: # 3.5ml Rosalina (Melaleuca ericifolia) # 1.5ml Red Rose Mitcham (Mentha x piperita red mitcham) Minty Rose Synergy: # 3ml Red Rose Mitcham (Mentha x piperita red mitcham) # 2ml Rosalina (Melaleuca alternifolia) Once the stock synergy has been made up, allow the oils to get to know each other for at least 1 week. To make hand lotion or cream: Mix into 100ml or 100g of Unscented Lotion/Cream base 1ml of the stock synergy of your choice. Stir very well. Enjoy. Red Rose Mitcham (Mentha x piperita red mitcham) is a specific cultivar of Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) grown and harvested in Australia. It's not the same as regular peppermint, which has a strong, cooling, crisp, and minty aroma, whereas Red Rose Mitcham has a more clean, smoother, slightly sweeter, and delicate floral (rose-like) aroma. If you want to know more about Red Rose Mitcham, check out the Aromatherapy Today International Journal Volume 94 (December 2025 - Jan 2026), which highlights this oil. The article is written by Australia's own Aromatherapist and Australian Essential Oil expert, Deby Atterby. The Journal can be purchased either as a physical copy or a downloadable PDF. If you just want the individual journal (Volume 94) and do not want to subscribe, perhaps reach out to Deby to inquire if she can send you a back issue of it? https://www.aromatherapytoday.shop/

Searching for Aloe Vera Gel
Does anyone know of a good supplier (either in Australia or that ships internationally) that sells a good certified organic Aloe Vera Gel that MUST be food safe and therefore can be used internally? I am trying to find an Aloe Vera Gel that can be used for Aromatic Oral Care preparations. I know the best to use is freshly harvested Aloe Vera leaf; however, this is not really a viable option in a clinical setting where you may need a good amount of aloe gel there and then, and don't have the time to harvest fresh gel, or potentially, you don't have the space to grow enough Aloe Vera that you need. So far, all the aloe vera gels I am coming across are cosmetic grade or contain filler ingredients. Personally, I would love to have an organic food-grade aloe vera concentrate powder which I can then use as a hydrolat and a natural food-grade geling agent such as Xanthan gum or Agar-Agar, as they don't contain water and therefore have a relatively long shelf life, so its really a good option I believe for students and those starting as they don't know when they will be using aloe, so having a powder that you can mix up over fresh aloe would be the better option to prevent wasting money of product that is not shelf stable (fresh aloe). Note that this is the time frame it takes for RAW Aloe (harvested fresh that day from the inner leaf of the aloe without preservatives) to spoil: - Room Temperature (18°-24°C): 1-2 days - Refrigerator (0°-4°C): 3-4 weeks - Freezer (-18°C): 1 Year. The downside to freezing is that when you need the gel then and there, it can take anywhere between 10 minutes and 30+ minutes to thaw/melt.

@Kathryn Lynnette Bales yes we all need to keep track of labels. Your product sounds OK though, but not food safe.
Here's my other book....
This isn't just a 'directory' of 54 EO's, it is also a workbook. No blends/recipes are included, one size does not fit all. You work it out for yourself, for what YOU need. The book takes you on a journey through your metaphorical "garden of life". Whether that be emotional or mental support, relationship with self or others, physical ailments, or spiritually to achieve your dreams and aspirations. The 54 essential oils are divided across the 5 key aspects of your life: emotional, mental, relationships, physical, and dreams and aspirations (spiritual). Please have a read of the customer reviews, and if you already have my book, please add your own, it would be much appreciated. Please contact me direct if you would like a signed copy. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Natural-Approach-Essential-Oils-Updated/dp/B0C2S71NST/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2HNHE8SBCGYHZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bWv7KLlQqautgs61gE1dd_WRfgkuZ4FQVweVpJddXHPvfI2cgShVJgnue1hWWLJZf7oO7AV6pof_9JIlkN092ynaEP3mObU01uPk5h6_Gkw6_Q4zuqCseK7bMGC9YOyH-SRrRB3wnqQewo0DLTblAaLT2f4LQOjzpdyCIYW8_aTheJoQZwKTltpbwnNbY6lWlL67LD281fsWcDFb9TTMd_sEZgsrFNWnSG4RYX7EEHQ.qGShVJLUDbEIMJo5Bfn0AH8HxtNF4u5aioTqtAl8lzc&dib_tag=se&keywords=The+natural+approach+to+essential+oils&qid=1773827823&sprefix=the+natural+approach+to+essential+oils%2Caps%2C223&sr=8-1

The Hatred for Lavender
Have you ever had a family member, friend, or client you're doing a consult for, say they hate or cannot stand the aroma of Lavender essential oil? I have, and personally, I find it funny because the blends that I make for them, often contain Lavender in them, are some of their most favourite formulations I have made. For example, I have this Diffuser Synergy I make for Insomnia. Nearly half of the bottle is Lavender essential oil, around 4mls. However, the addition of Petitgrain and Vetiver provides a heady depth, so that the Lavender is not the prominent fragrance, but the Petitgrain and Vetiver are. I ofc have four other essential oils in this formula, which I won't share here, simply because I am getting very good results and feedback from it, and it's one I am looking into selling as a pre-made synergy for a future online shop. I would love to know, do you have any tricks or a combo/pairing of essential oils that mask the aroma of an essential oil that a client or even yourself does not like?

I have to really be in the mood for lavender. It is not a natural love for me. I don't mind it when blended with some other oils. I do like petitgrain a lot and I have been using davana quite frequently lately, as well as clary sage. Menopause!! lol
