POLL: Strength vs. Technique? Whats preventing you from climbing harder
I love asking this question. In reality it is a combination, and depends on the climb. But curious what everyone in the group is focused on....

I feel like fear is actually holding me back the most🙈 but out of those two: strength, especially now that I have worked on my technique the last 6 months.
What shoes does everyone rock!?
These were my main shoes last year, but I used to wear Vapor’s for the first 5 or so years indoor and outdoor! Left to right TC pros (for crack climbing) 5.10 mocsassains (slip on warm up/ chill shoes) Skwamas (my try hard shoe) I’ve been using unparalleled Quincy’s for the last 5 or so months and really liking them too. Curious what everyone else is wearing??

I use tenaya ra womans edition for warmups and easier climbs. They got quite worn after I used them for climbing outside, so I bought a pair of drago lv and I there fit me so much better from the start than the tenaya ones did. I spent a solid two months of pain when climbing for more than one boulders time trying to break them in, they fit quite well now. Don't be fooled by the plastic wrap on the feet when getting new shoes😅
(Re)introduction
Hi everyone! I thought I'd reintroduce myself in this group that has grown since last time I was in here:) I'm Hedda, and I have had quite a long brake from climbing because of school, work and just life in general, but now I'm happy to back to climbing again (whoop whoop). I'm a medical student in Tromsø, Norway. This is also where I climb, at the two local rope/bouldering gyms. I'm in this group because I want to learn new techniques, make new friends and learn form more experienced climbers. My goal for the next 12 months is to climb more strategically and intentionally, but also to build strength and endurance. I climb 6a+ to 6b now, and would love to start climbing 6b to 6c regularly within the next year or year and a half. I love climbing because of the community and because its a way to stay in shape while also having to use the brain to figure out problems on the wall. If anyone's ever in Tromsø or nearby, I would love to meet up for a climbing session!!
Recent win!
i was able to get out this past Saturday for some TRS in the evening. I worked a climbed named “The Falls, 5.10+”. I worked the climb once, the beginning was by far the hardest section. The route runs next to a waterfall and the water flows below the start of the climb. Many holds are damp and dirty. I cleaned, and tried to dry some of the holds. My second try was a clean send and I’m super psyched on the send! The moves felt pretty chill and I felt great on the climb! The only move I struggled with was the start. It’s a reach to get into a good crimp(chalked up crimp to the right of the rope) but the feet are slim/slick and you have to lock off into a far reach for a jug. I’m coming off a couple injuries and it’s super nice to see that I’m getting back into form and have a nice send!

@Julio Lopez Solis That's so cool! Would love to climb a route that long, but I don't have the rope length for it, yet, unfortunately.
What activities do you do OTHER than climbing?
We’re all here because we love climbing, but I’m curious what other things people like doing?? For example I like - Hiking - Chess - Philosophy - Travel What do you guys like doing when your fingers are tired? (Pic of a section the Inca trail I just completed with my awesome brothers and mum in Peru)

I love music so I often sing, in a gospelchoir, worshipteam and solo. I also play the flute. I am a medicalstudent so I spend alot of time in school og studying at home, especially now with a big exam coming up, so it doesn't leave me with a lot of time to go on adventures. When I do have the time I also enjoy a little hiking, but I am a slow-hiker. I like to enjoy the whole hike, not just reaching the top, so I stop often to check out the view😊
