Hey everyone, Hector here, based in Englewood FL. A little background.. I work for a Plumbing company doing their marketing SEO, google ads and website management. I also have a background in sales, retail and automotive, plus a little bit outbound calling and door knocking to set appointments. I also have a 20+ yeas background in tech and build ai tools constantly. I'm always coming up with new ideas and building stuff. I built them a custom voice agent and a complete back end dashboard with call data, that also brings in all the google ads leads and website leads into one list and a custom website chat widget and I have like 20 other things in my github because I build stuff like this for fun. So to get to the point, I have been put in charge of building out their new water filtration division, They already do filtration but it's not a major thing they just do one here and there but are now looking to go hard on the filtration side. I am comfortable with selling but the water filtration is what I'm still learning. Biggest thing I'm working on right now: we've got a full plumbing crew with fully stocked vans, 2500+ google reviews and been in business 18 years. The techs will also be pitching filtration on all their jobs if we can get them motivated enough to do it but for now I am the only dedicated person doing strictly sales and marketing. For those of you running filtration inside an existing home service company, how do you suggest I build this out, its kind of like I'm competing against myself because my marketing duties will have me marketing for the filtration (email campaigns etc) and I may not get sent on all of those appointments because those are company leads, (and I get 5% of gross on those) .. but My sales side will have me out selling jobs with self generated leads (for 9% of gross). Anyway I am happy to sell as many as possible however the commission comes but right now I just need some advice or help with how do I go about generating my own leads and marketing myself locally as the local "water dude" Company marketing will be mostly running email campaigns to their existing list of 24K plus past customers, but they also want me to go out and knock doors to get larger commercial accounts. I also get commission on anything I get so if they need water heater or just general plumbing work I get paid on all of it but that's just extra on top , the filtration is what they want me to focus on.
