Dashboard in full effect!
I think I am done with this project and I am excited to see how it looks the coming weeks. I’ve been wanting a dashboard that covers my training, fueling, and readiness stats in detail. Got my own “app” thingy going on 🤣 I am also loving the telegram where I can keep track and record stuff. For now, I study, play, and rest… Until the next project…maybe managing my athletes, if that is possible.

Fitness & Fuel Dashboard
A huge win! Thanks to @Kevin Rudd and @Luke Scott for their help on this. I created a dashboard that shows my target race (well right now it's hopeful target race now that I am recovering from hip arthroscopy surgery), readiness, training plan, AND fuel targets! I also learned how to track my meals on the go without using an app like Fuel IN, Cronomter, MFP, MacroTracker, etc... using telegraph and I asked VSC to do the smart work and guide me through. I also decided to connect to GitHub so I can log my meals when my computer is sleeping. I think it'll be worth the investment. I'm going to work on getting my Garmin connected to GitHub too. Next up, I'd like to have the dashboard live...gotta look more into that. I do have the fuel prompt written if anyone wants one, to edit how they see fit.

Nutrition and Meal Planning
At the end of the day, I usually have a bit of calorie budget left and want something to close out my carb and protein targets. Those targets aren't fixed numbers; they're worked out daily from my training block, what I've actually trained that day, my profile and my intake so far, cross-checked against the sports science evidence I keep on file. For that last bit of food, I run the skill via Telegram and it searches a fixed pool of ingredients (yoghurt, protein powder, honey, cereal, etc.) to find the best combination for closing the protein and carb gaps without going over the calorie ceiling. Small thing, but it's pretty nice having "what should I eat to hit my numbers?" turn into an actual mini-recipe rather than a guess.

@Kevin Rudd Thanks for connecting. It does look like it’s similar to what I am thinking. @Luke Scott Thanks for sharing. I am not familiar with telegram bot and how it can work within Claude code and/or vsc. My main thing is I want to get macro recommendations based on my requirements and also in fuel session numbers. Plus I want to log in food if that is possible. It looks like thst is exactly what you are doing. Do you have a specific prompt that I can review and edit/replicate to get this set up?

@Luke Scott Thank you for this. Will dig deeper.
Training Peaks
Okay so I am following the steps for the Athlete OS set up and originally connected to Strava, but I wanted to switch to Garmin. After a few battles I think I finally figured it out. Now I am wondering how I can get the training recommendations to Training Peaks so I don’t have to always design workouts. Is there a process for this? All of my training plans are designed in TP and I like the platform to sync to my devices to do the specific workouts. If anyone has a different or better experience, please share that too.
New Athlete On Board :)
Hey everyone! I'm Heather, a former Deaf golfer and now triathlete. I was the first USA Deaf female triathlete to qualify and complete Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. I've transitioned to self-coaching and would like to learn how I could use AI to tailor to my fitness goals.
