I'm writing this from the island of Sardinia, Italy, 🇮🇹 looking out at a view that most people would assume costs a fortune...but...to be honest, I'm in my 40s, and this is my first time ever traveling to Europe. And no, my Skool community isn't making me enough money yet to casually fund a $10,000 vacation. One day, hopefully. But today, that's not the story. The reality is that this trip easily could have cost over 💰$10,000 out of pocket. My business-class flight from Chicago to Rome was selling for around $7,000 round trip. I spent five nights in Rome at a hotel that would have cost well over $2,500, and I only paid about $140 in taxes and fees. Tonight, I'm staying at a boutique hotel in Sardinia that costs more than $1,500 per night, and I didn't pay cash for the room. (checkout the view from the room) No, I'm not an influencer getting free stays. What I've learned is how to leverage travel rewards, credit card points, and airline and hotel transfer partners to dramatically reduce the cost of travel. The key isn't spending more money. It's spending the money you're already spending in a smarter way. Travel hacking has completely changed what's possible for me. Experiences that once felt out of reach suddenly became attainable. If you've ever looked at a luxury hotel, a business-class seat, or an international vacation and thought, "There's no way I could afford that," you might be surprised by what's possible when you understand how the points game works. I'm leaving for Italy tomorrow. I have never traveled to Europe before and I will be going on a solo trip.
