Goodbye
I'm sorry, thank you for the help you have provided but I will be leaving the community. I cannot in good conscience stay in a community that so easily dismisses the experience of millions of people to it's the Canadian federal government's fault. Also a community that supports a lie and supports slander and misinformation. I am protecting myself and my country Edit: I wanted to edit this rather than delete as words cannot be erased. Therefore I would like to amend my comment. I unfortunately misunderstood Kelly's testimonial this morning, I should have asked for clarity, I made a mistake. However, the response from some of the community, not all, left me feeling very much dismissed, attacked and not welcome. Due to the brain injury 2 sentences can take a full 5 or 10 minutes to type, therefore I was unable to respond. My first comment during the webinar on Tuesday morning was supposed to just go to host and panelist, I had not meant to send that to everyone. However, the response from some people showed me that this was only safe if I made myself small and minimised myself for everyone else's comfort. I have fought for years to bring myself back from 12 years of constant bullying. After which I was married for 2 years followed by a brain injury and 9 days in a coma. I came home just an exploding mess of unregulated frustration and self loathing. I lost my career, my license, I couldn't walk, I had a horse I could no longer get too, and 3 out of 4 of my pets died. A guinea pig, a dog, and a budgie. Only my cat survived. My husband is autistic so for 16 years I lost my mind and he retreated. I cheated emotionally twice as I was dying, I grabbed for a life line like I was drowning. The brain injury happened on August 7 2006, my 22nd birthday. My in-laws spent 16 years blaming me for everything as due to the brain injury my mask broke but my husband is so good at the mask even his own family didn't know him. They left me out if he didn't come to family functions, as they were convinced I was the problem. They even wanted me to send my kids with them for camping trips so I could be left behind since he didn't want to go and I wasn't welcome without him.

@Richard Kelly Stifora it was completely a misunderstanding, I am very sorry
Miscommunication
Does anyone have the same problem i do? I say something and people always take it the wrong way. They take it as an insult or bad but what you say arent ment that way. Then you get nasty remarks from people cause everyone misunderstands you and what you are saying or texting?

Yes, ESPECIALLY with my husband who's autistic and dismissive avoidant. His family got him in trouble for being upset or sad. When I got home from 6 months in the hospital and a complete unregulated mess, there were definitely fireworks and that was definitely part of the issue

@Renee Kers thank you, the first thing my brain does is try to find reasons to dismiss it as an accomplishment and why it shouldn't count but I'm trying really hard not to allow that. I've put a lot of time and love into this horse and we learned so much together. I want to honour that
Day 5
Finished day 5!! I got the full assessment. This got me: OLD CODE: 'You're not good enough. You never will be. All of the effort you're putting in is pointless. You might as well just stay in bed.' NEW CODE: 'My effort converts every single time it has something tangible on the other end. I rebuilt a voice, a gait and a whole training method from nothing. Give me a real being and a real question and I do not stop until I find the answer.' I've spent my life devoted to animals. I am a strong Christian and my faith has always been my lifeline. I have always been happy to improve the lives of those around me. I have always tackled training logically, considering emotional state, triggers, personality, and environment as barriers that can be worked with , through, or around, but NEVER as the animal BEING a problem. Yet somehow I didn't do it for myself.
