If you could instantly master ONE skill without ever practicing, what would it be and why? It could be a language, an instrument, a sport, coding, cooking ... anything at all.
🧐 What's one thing you learned this week that you actually want to tell someone about? It can be from a class, a video, or a random rabbit hole you went down. Give us a fun fact!
Ring around the rosy isn’t a game it’s a checklist of bubonic plague symptoms, Ring around the rosy—the red rash that appears on the skin Pocket full of posies—flowers people carried to mask the smell of rotting bodies Ashes ashes or (“a-tishoo”)—the sneezing that signaled the end or the cremation of the dead We all fall down—death. My favorite one was for showing different densities, you’d put some honey some water and some oil in a jar and they’d form different layers. Then you’d put in like a coin, a small toy and something else and each would float in each layer. I would just do it for fun sometimes and I liked adding a bunch of different kinds of liquids to see what would happen.
I apologize for the late notice, but I am needing to cancel classes for tomorrow. I powered through classes today, but am still not doing well. I am hoping that a day to rest will take care of it. I will see you all for classes on Thursday. Enjoy your day off (of these classes anyway 🙂)!
I told the Earth Science students today that Monday is our last day in Unit 1! My how time flies! They should begin studying for their Evaluations if you are planning for them to take it. The written Evaluation will be up on Monday. We will not take time during class to complete those since not everyone chooses to do them.
