Spiritually left for dead, my heart an echo chamber of loss. Kindness drained from trembling hands, warmth scattered to a cold, unfeeling sky. You walked through the ruins of my trust, fed on the softness I once called love, leaving me hollow — a ghost of what I was. But from your ruin, I rose. Fire found me in the ashes. I am the warrior you never meant to forge, the survivor you could not destroy. My soul burns brighter for the breaking — and I will never fade again.

I type most of my poems on Adobe, so I can share on multiple sites w/o having to write the poem numerous times.

Hello. I'm Hayley, and I'm actually really excited to be here! I was always a keen writer, and enjoyed making up stories and writing poems.. but then life got in the way, and it drifted from me. 7 months ago, I started journalling as part of my therapy, and in that words started to form into short verses, and then I soon found myself writing poetry again. I'm looking forward to reading the work of others, and finally feeling brave enough to share some of my own in a safe place ✨️🖤
