① “the United States is one of the worst offenders“ （Why does her voice get smaller to smaller and smaller ?) → She might be American herself, so she lowers her voice a bit out of embarrassment. ② Milk past (adverb)…..(passed ?) →”passed” is INCORRECT. ③ Hamburger buns (How do we describe these “buns”?) → Bread specifically for burgers (top and bottom). ④ Why is “AMOUNTS” plural ? → It emphasizes large quantities in many placeS. ⑤ Why not ARE after United States ? → It’s treated as one country. ⑥ worst “OFFENDERS” of what ? → food waste ⑦ “they’d toss any food past those date”(pass, passed ?) → Both are INCORRECT.

We’re often confused by date labels like sell-by, best-by, and use-by.Just because food has passed its best-by date doesn’t mean it suddenly turns into poison 😂.You should focus mainly on the use-by date and use your five senses to decide whether it’s fit for consumption or headed for the compost bin. I wonder what the use-by date would be for Peterman’s antique cake 😂
