My inner dream girl knows there is infinite definitions of creativity and that I don’t need to fit mine into a box to feel truly creative. Her relationship with creativity is filled with expression, intellect, and tied closely with her moon cycle.

My lil self wanted to create music, poetry, fantasy based play, put on magic and fashion shows and feel beautiful. I have picked up playing my violin again which feels so right. And I am moving into poetry once more. I haven’t written in so long because my writing was always fueled by loss, heartbreak, and rage. What a gift that now I am fueled by love, light, and gratitude. I’ve also tried to dress how I truly feel and not into what is expected of me and I feel closer to my lil fashionista!

My dream girl date was going to a candle light concert. Going to live classical concerts brings out my inner child and musician who loved to perform. When the music starts, lights go down, phones turn off and you’re surrounded by strangers there’s a moment in time that you become a collective making the same memory. Time slows and the music flows into your soul and feeds it. Then it’s over, the lights come on, phones come out and you are once again surrounded by strangers most likely to never see one another again. But for a moment frozen in time you were all apart of something. Together. And I think that is the core of music. And why it is so magical. Noticing this is what I learned about myself and why I love this form of music and expression.
