So for me December was a pretty successful month! I learned so much over here with you all, that was amazing!! I really loved the daily challenge, and I tried to keep it up all along but the last days were a bit of a mess bcs at school I had a lot of exams Pilling up together,so a lot of revision and not so much time for Chinese... But still I learned a lot thanks to that community and Hellochinese, by listenning to podcast, reading stories watching chinese vloggers, or live streamers, writting, learning the most commonly used characters expressions words in daily chinese. That was a very rich month, thank you everyone for the support. And thank you very much @Natasja N for creating such an amazing space for us to evolve all together in our chinese learning journey. That was a really amazing idea of yours!!!🤩🤩 So next month i'll be off and won't be able to attend weekly calls, but i'll keep an eye on it from afar and I hope to see you again in 2 months (I got to focus on the 2 others languages i'm learning) I hope you'll have a lot of fun, and that you'll learn a lot!! 我们下次拜拜～

So I was practicing my speech trying to say whatever i could about what was around me, then pretending to have a talk with a friend. And I had a question, when do we use 但是，and when do we use 可是 ? Bcs it seemed to me that they both mean "but"

Write the example sentence to practice characters + submit for feedback. 生词 New word: 朋友 péng you - friend （男朋友 nán péng you - boy friend / 女朋友 nü péng you - girlfriend (nü is 3rd tone) / 小朋友 xiǎo péng you - another word for child） E.g. 我有很多朋友。= I have lots of friends. Wǒ yǒu hěn duō péng you. 她是我的女朋友。= She is my girlfriend. Tā shì wǒ de nü péng you. 你的男朋友很高！= Your boyfriend is very tall! Nǐ de nán péng you hěn gāo. 这里有很多小朋友。= There are lots of children here. Zhè lǐ yǒu hěn duō xiǎo péng you.

Both parts either need to be both positive or both negative.) E.g. 我觉得学习中文不但很有意思, 而且非常有用。 Wǒ jué de xué xí zhōng wén bú dàn hěn yǒu yì si, ér qiě fēi cháng yǒu yòng. = I think that studying Chinese (is) not only very interesting, but also extremely useful. 我不但喜欢和朋友买东西，而且喜欢听音乐。 Wǒ bú dàn xǐ huan hé péng you mǎi dōng xi, ér qiě xǐ huan tīng yīn yuè. = I not only like shopping with my friend(s), but also like listening to music.
