My Claude Connector is approved and LIVE! :D
Hey hey! I've posted in here a couple times and thought I'd pop in and share! Thanks to Kevins updates this week, I got approved for the Garmin API! So, our Garmin integration is complete AND we just got our connector approved in the Claude Marketplace! Insanely excited to see how people use this. This week or next we're making the tough decision (based on people who know better than me) to go with a hard paywall- so all existing users will get either a free lifetime sub, or 1-2 years free as a thank you for the early support :) Would love to have some people join before then 💪💪💪

AI for Strength Training
After creating the Athlete.OS to train and complete my first olympic triathlon, has anyone used the system to create a strength training/ hybrid training plan. If so, I'd love any tips you used or learned!

@Néviton Fritzen that's pretty extensive. Cool.

I'd like to. I've played around with some creating some pretty simple interfaces to give me my programming and track it. I haven't done the full Athlete.OS project yet.
Week 16 - We are Live! JOIN NOW! The 4-Week Fitness App Challenge
Happy Monday AAC Team! We are 1,202 strong today, up from 1,166 last Monday. That is 36 new faces and we officially crossed 1,200... so freaking cool! Welcome to everyone who just joined! First, the big one. The 4-Week Fitness App Challenge is officially open inside Athlete AI Labs! Doors opened this morning: Join the 4-Week Fitness App Challenge Quick version of what it is: - 4 weeks, from your idea to a real app on your phone or the web - the app or AI agent you always wanted - Every step is a prompt you run, in order. No code background needed - Live build calls twice a week with me and everyone else building - Two 1:1 reviews with me, one on your idea and one on your plan - Lifetime access. You pay once and you have it all The first 20 seats are $249 and those 20 also get a weekly call with me every Wednesday plus my AI fitness agent. After that it's $349. Doors close Sunday night at 11:59pm ET and I honestly don't know when they open again. And same as always - the Athlete AI Community here stays free. That is not changing. Secondly, a recap of what we pushed last week in case you missed something: - 6 apps Claude can replace in a weekend - open source replacements for Strava, Whoop, MyFitnessPal, Hevy, TrainingPeaks and Zwift. One honest update: I set up SparkyFitness (the MyFitnessPal one) today to demo it and it was really weak. I would not recommend that one - I let Claude replace Strava - my own server, my own data, my own feed - 20 things you need to know to actually train with AI - The 5 biggest mistakes people make when using Claude or ChatGPT to train & how to fix them - 8 things you can do when you connect Whoop to Claude Code - On a personal note - I am pain free when running for the first time in nearly 2 months. NYC here we come!

Tuning in on the Hevy part. I'd be intrigued to know what happens with that

@Kevin Rudd thanks. I built a smaller version of a lifting tracker for my clients that probably don't need or want Hevy, and probably don't need to build their own whole thing. It's currently populated with just one month's programming, but I want to make it more general so that one can enter a 3/4 day a week lifting log in there for a month of programming at a time, or something like that. I haven't put a database behind it yet, but it would be a pretty easy job for me to set that up. Wearables, distances, running times - those are of no interest to me. Lifting trackers and macro tracking are the main tracking I care about. And basic habits. Beyond that and it's mental overload. Plus I really don't enjoy running at all. I might tackle a challenging hike or a longer bike ride at some point, but these are what track progress for me at the moment as a midlife mama chasing strength.
6 GitHub Repos That Replace Your Fitness Apps
After the Noop post, I went digging through GitHub this week and it turns out there's a bunch of free public repo for pretty much every fitness app we pay for... somebody already built it and gave it away. Paste the link into Claude Code and it'll install it for you. Here are the 6 I found: 1. Endurain - your own activity feed with maps, charts and friends, on a server you own. Replaces Strava. 2. NOOP - pairs with your WHOOP strap and scores recovery, strain and sleep on your phone, no membership. Replaces the WHOOP app (early Oura support too). 3. SparkyFitness - food, water, sleep and fasting tracking for the whole household. Replaces MyFitnessPal. 4. OpenGym - a full lifting log with 1,324 exercises built in, and it imports your Hevy history. Replaces Hevy. 5. GoldenCheetah - fitness, fatigue and form charts on your own computer. Replaces TrainingPeaks. 6. zoffline - ride the Zwift worlds from a server on your own computer. Replaces a Zwift subscription. (I've only set up Endurain, NOOP and OpenGym myself so far, the rest are next) Links and install steps for all 6 here: 6 GitHub Repos That Replace Your Fitness Apps Pick one, set it up this weekend and let me know which one you went with! @Kevin Rudd I mean that in the - wow, that's a lot of things available at your fingertips way. I'm a little uncertain about just grabbing random github repos off the internet and installing them. How do I know they're not malicious? I'm using git hub for vibecoding, but I haven't pulled anything off git yet.
Stop doing these 5 things
These are the 5 things I see athletes doing when they use ChatGPT or Claude to train... and I did every one of them myself when I started lol Each one has an easy swap, and the first three take under an hour. Here are the 5: 1. Using the basic chat - move to Claude Code inside an IDE. I use VS Code, a lot of people use Cursor 2. Uploading spreadsheets and screenshots of your workouts - most companies have an MCP or a public API, so find yours and have Claude connect straight to your data 3. Skipping the CLAUDE.md file - it's a snapshot of your Athlete Profile: who you are and what your goals are 4. Relying on Claude or ChatGPT's built-in memory - build an LLM wiki to structure your data, and add a database if you want to go a step further 5. Ending the day with no session write-back - a note every night so it knows exactly what you did, why you did it and how you felt I wrote up the fix and the prompt for each one, plus an overview of how to build your own AI agent: 5 Things to Stop Doing When You Train With AI We teach some of these in the 7 Day Challenge, so if you've done it you're already ahead. The more advanced topics we'll cover in Athlete AI Labs, where you build your own app or AI agent in 4 weeks: 4-Week Fitness App Challenge Which one are you still doing? Be honest 😅 Kevin
