This stuff works and it's never too late...
This post on LinkedIn speaks to me on many levels. I, too, was let go from Bloomberg as part of a reorg. I loved the company and the people there, many of whom I keep in touch with to this day. When we work in corporate, we accept that we are not fully in control. One day, someone may decide this is our last day. You need to be okay with that and know it is not your fault; rather, it is part of the deal. What strikes me most is that, at 57, this man found another opportunity by connecting with people and publicly opening himself on LinkedIn, which is the exact strategy of this book. He is one example of how much power we have to command our own destinies if we decide to use that power fully. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/ted-merz-cfa-b711257_on-this-day-three-years-ago-i-was-fired-from-activity-7301305448333279232-hdMR/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAACTFD4BhtlXDEqSX_U-a01rxGQ4GQJlg7o

It's NEVER too late for ANYTHING in life. As long as we're still breathing.
