Seed Oils
Hi Everyone. I am wondering your personal take on seed oils (yes, a touchy topic to some). Without referencing any studies or backing up any of my claims with science (we can discuss this in the comments), anecdotally I avoid them like the plague. Half of my family is cursed w/ bad acid reflux, I am unfortunately lumped into that half. I notice that when I cut out seed oils, I experience little to no AR. I cook w/ Butter, EVOO and Avocado Oil and I get by fine.

Seed oils is a very interesting and important topic to bring up because they in my opinion have been demonized in the recent years. As far from a nutritional standpoint, there really is no evidence to support or deny to use of seed oils which I think is important to note but no matter what, too much of anything will cause harm. As far as the use of butter or beef tallow, the cardiovascular risk generally is higher with butter/tallow compared to seed oils. I really do worry about the risk of demonizing certain foods or products as that may have more impact on the body than just eating it. Let me know what we think about this?

@Gage Messner Totally get your point with that but my argument was more that replacing either oil for each other isn’t inherently beneficial. Eating too much seed oils you will have a problem and eating too much animal fats will be a problem.
