Character design
I saw this photo and had an idea for a character. (I've been watching One Piece recently and I felt it look like the characters, maybe is the whimsiness 🤔)

Opinions pleasee
I have been doing this these days and want some opinions from fresh eyes (mines are fried atp). Is meant to be a Star Wars type world. ✌️

@Caleb Arredondo thanks! I imagined the settlement is a market place and in it they are selling a lot of stuff. The big blue bird under the green tent is been sold. She want to free the bird but dont know how to say all that (the brand or logo is a good idea). I was thinking her having a feather somewhere🤷🏻♀️

Whats your go to method when starting a new character design?
Do you like to write up a little back story? look at other artists work for inspiration?

I like having a back story for them, helps me focus and add details in the design✌️

@Mariana Santos I do that too but I find I get stuck on that first idea and I don't know how to add more to the design if a don't have a bit of a back ground for the character.

Monthly Challenge: April 15th - May 15th
This is the character I made. The idea was of a kind of 'illegal' merchant with little ants as minions that help him set up the tent and sell or exchange all shorts of things like weapons, poisons, cursed object and even dangerous creatures. I didn't draw the two front legs because it would hide the rest but it has 6 legs.
