Whats your go to method when starting a new character design?
Do you like to write up a little back story? look at other artists work for inspiration?

i think for me, it's essential to have at least keywords about worldbuilding and personality. Then, I search for good refs from the real world and also work from other artists.

RAUL - WEEK 5 - PAGE 1
Very satisfied with the results because I've haven't studied feet since 2019 maybe. I was more interested in getting the hands right in any concept or illustration that I left feet studies aside. With that said, this was still challenging to me, so good practice :D

@Well Mox oh wow, tnx tbh I didn't focus on achieving this style of shading, it just happened. I just wanted to do more colorful studies, so I focused more on color than on values. also, I used basic photoshop brushes to don't get distracted by textures. hope this helps
