☀️ Monday Check-In Happy Monday, Sewing Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and found at least a little time to spend with your sewing machine (or at least thinking about sewing… that counts too! 😉). Before anything else, I have to say THANK YOU! We officially crossed 200 members this week! Watching this little community continue to grow has been such a blessing, and I’m so grateful that each of you has chosen to be part of it. 🫶🏻 A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Members! Please help me welcome: @Kelly Benoit @Yora N @Laurie Craft @Jacquelyn Beamon @Bashirat Bello @Mataishia Jones @Jeannette Williams @Jessica Eyeington @Katricia Carroll @Angela Bevan We’re so glad you’re here! If you haven’t introduced yourself yet, we’d love to get to know you. Tell us where you’re from, how long you’ve been sewing (or if you’re brand new!), and what you’d love to learn. 🧵 This Week’s Challenge Show us what you’re working on! It doesn’t have to be finished, fancy, or even going according to plan. Whether it’s your very first seam, a quilt that’s been in progress for months (or years), or a pile of fabric you’re thinking about turning into something… we’d love to see it. Sometimes sharing our progress inspires someone else to keep going. 💙 Help Us Grow If you’ve been enjoying this community, why not invite another sewing friend? Every member has a personal invite link, and if someone joins Premium through your link, you’ll earn a 20% recurring commission while they remain a member. Find your link here: Community → ••• → Invite People → Copy Link ✂️ Sewing quote of the week: She believed she could, sew she did. I hope this week brings you straight seams, cooperative bobbins, and plenty of time to sew.

Happy Independence Day to all my American Sewing friends! It’s the BIG 250 here for us and there’s excitement in the air Today. I have a feeling that the celebrations and the fireworks will be EPIC across the nation! I am about to go make myself a reverse appliqué Flag T-shirt to wear to a 4th of July party this afternoon. Nothing like waiting to the last minute eh? Anyway, I will post pics when it’s all done. What projects have you all been working on this week? Let’s see em! As always: Big wins, little wins and anything in between; sewing related or not… share away so that we can all ohhhh & ahhhhh. Ready♥️ Set⭐️ Go🎆

Taylor Tick
I would love to use Taylor ticks and not pens anymore. Do you have any tips on how to do this and how do you do it if you do use this method

@Rebecca Brown yes! It's a way to mark your patterns and if you have a video or resources on gradeing a pattern from bust to waist and how to change darts and when you do not have to?

What’s up Wednesday 6/24/2026
Yalllllll!!!! I have literally gone all day thinking that today is TUESDAY! I completely missed our regular What’s Up Wednesday post because in my brain “it was only Tuesday” 🤪 Clearly I am losing it. For me it Is VBS week at my church and I am The Snack Lady so I’m going to blame this all on needing to feed 75 energetic children not one but two creative, on theme snacks EVERY DAY this week!!! This grandma is tired!! So with that, I will save my what’s up Wednesday discussion for next week and suggest we just simply make each other laugh by sharing a gif that describes how your week is going so far. Share as many as you’d like… I will get us started. Here’s hoping that you each remember what day it is and enjoy every moment.

I have a few things that I need to do but want to ask all of you for some help or ideas. Clothing items number one:I have two skirt slips that a bit to big for me what would be the best way to take them in, sew a new seam or put in elastic with a button on the side seams? Clothing item number two: I have two sets of legging that I need to bring up the hem of the legging to be not so long, my idea is to pin it where I want them and then sew a new hem and then cut off the extra. What do you think? Clothing items number three I have a sweater dress that I do not wear so I was thinking about making it into a sweater/cartridge, any ideas or tips on how to do this?
