Vietnam 2027: We’re Rolling Again
Righto… With plenty of content and stories to come, I’ll get on early and open the batting. Vietnam was simply unbelievable and we’ll be rolling again in 2027. One of the all time trips that anyone that came over will attest to. It had it all. - Age Group Podiums - Kona Qualifiers - 70.3 World Champs Qualifiers - The best post-race parties you’ve ever seen. - $2 coffees and $1.50 beers. It had it all. Podcast dropping tomorrow with some great stories. So the word is out, and many of you have been asking. We’ll be rolling again in 2027. Many of you who came this year are ready to go again, along with a dozen or so who have already slid in. If you’re keen, comment below and hit the polls. We can start getting things in order.

Just a question or 2 to get the ball rolling, what sort of feed back and improvements has Lauren seen in her clients lifestyle, training, recovery and performance after they have come to her and worked together over the last few years? I know of a fair few who have done quite well and made massive gains but thats only from what I can see. And given how popular the sport has become in the last few years, has there been a noticeable increase in first time age groupers, and those who have been at it for a while, looking into nutrition and sports dieticians to get more out of themselves? Or is that something that comes along after a few races/years experience?
Exciting News – Special Guests Joining Our Weekly Catch-Ups!
Team! Get ready — we’re taking our weekly catch-ups to the next level by bringing in some awesome guests! In the next couple of weeks, we’ll have a nutritionist joining us. This is going to be a massive one for anyone looking to gain that extra edge in both thier training and racing — the often-overlooked 4th leg of triathlon! I’m also working on locking in Crowie for a chat with everyone in the next month or so (once the pro series racing calms down a bit after Texas). His insights into the sport are second to none, and his sessions are always fun, inspiring, and incredibly educational. I want to bring in even more high-quality guests over the coming weeks, so I need your input! What would YOU love to hear about? Drop your suggestions below — nothing is off limits! Some ideas to get you started: - Bike positioning & professional bike fitting - Sports psychology & mental performance - Swimming technique experts - …and anything else you’re keen on! Let me know what topics or guests you’d like to see. The more you tell me, the better we can tailor these sessions to what you actually want. Can’t wait to hear your ideas! Greg

For those who are targeting Kona or 70.3 WC slots, whats your take on trying to find the right race destination (balance of cost, conditions, timing), in order to increase the likelihood of achieving that goal. I know some people have looked to Asian races for this reason, and the Aussie circuit is 1 - fairly expensive for a few of the destinations with not much else to do apart from the race there, and 2, the current Aussie racing fields are chockers with talent and top of the range gear. Greggo, is this something you get the chance to speak to your athletes about prior to entry purchase, or is it usually people buy their entry, and then come to you second.
