Happy Memorial Day Weekend
Friday, May 23rd, 2025 @ 1:30 PM It's a gorgeous day on Mammoth Mountain and across the Eastern Sierra. The weather looks great with warmer days this week, right through the big Memorial Day Weekend. This weekend is the traditional kick-off to Summer in the Eastern Sierra. There will be many activities and events to participate in, along with Skiing and Snowboarding at Mammoth Mountain. >>>Snow Conditions: Spring skiing and riding continues with firm snow at 7:30 AM, with the corn popping out between 8:30 and 9:30 AM. The moguls in West Bowl are nice a soft by 11 AM. Local's Choice: Early morning, firm groomer laps via Saddle Bowl to Forest Trail to the Stump Alley Express and then back to the top of 3 again. As the day warms up, a glide down World Cup into St Antone can't be beat when they drop the race ropes around 11 AM. If you like a nice big bump line, the moguls in West Bowl are tight and deep from the local bashers. Up Top Cornice is fun as it softens up by mid-morning. Scotties is also groomed and gets less traffic, so the snow stays longer on that side. However to access Scotties you should take upper Road Runner as condtions on skyline suck right now. The Drop Outs and Wipe Out are all good, as are Climax and the Sign Line. >>> If you’re coming to ski and snowboard the remainder of this season, please remember that all winter operations are now out of Main Lodge and the Mill. Weekday Lifts are (weather permitting) chairs 1, 2, 3, 6, 11, 23, and G1 and G2 from 7:30 to 2 PM. The Unbound Express (6) is open from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Chairs 4, 5, and 10 are running on weekends and this Memorial Day. Starting May 27th, expect chairs 1, 3, 23, and G1 and G2. Chair 2 will run as long as they can keep access to the Mill going, I'm hearing. There is no word on a closing day yet, so the lifts will run into June. How long is anyone's guess.
