How do you tackle angry leads when calling personal numbers?
I often obtain numbers that are the personal numbers of my leads. Especially when calling within Europe, my leads frequently get frustrated/angry and demand an explanation as to how I got their numbers. How do we deescalate situations like this? Any methods that work best?
How to deal with someone says: “I am not responsible for the service you offer”?
If someone says this and will not put you through to the colleague who is responsible, what can you do?

Think the answers above are pretty nice but I am curious: What if a person says "I am not responsible for the service you offer” but you are sure that he/she is reposinble. How do you navigate that?

@Bryan Hairston That's a really nice one! Appreciate the input. Will try that out.
What's your way of building trust
From my humble experience in cold calling, the only way to be successful at this is to have the capacity to build trust over a few minutes, maybe even seconds. Some people use humour, others use a highly relevant and targeted message. So what's your way of gaining trust as fast as possible over the phone?

@True Mair Agree on this. Feel like this is the easiest way to go especially for people just starting off. Humor is a daunting task for someone who is just starting on the phone so going with a humble but honest approach is what I am pushing for at the moment as well. The more confident you become the easier the humor part will be
Cold Calling Confession Time! 🗣️ Did your brain ever freeze in a call?
What's your go-to move when a prospect hits you with a brain teaser and you're left with nothing but crickets in your mind? Do you have an emergency exit strategy if a prospect says something and you suddenly can´t think of anything to reply?

I'm usually pretty blunt when I can't follow. Directly going for the "Say again?" very often as this leaves open if it was the connection, accent, or just me being too stupid to understand. Else I also noticed that becoming comfortable with silence can be reallllyyy valuable as prospects tend to naturally dive deeper into what they were saying and as long as you start talking confidently after prolonged silence it actually asserts control and a sense of knowledge imo.
Challenges in Sales
Hi guys! What is the biggest struggle you’re facing right now, or have faced in the past? What do you consider the current bottleneck in your sales process? (be so concrete as possible)

@Jamie Cooper Veryyyy relatable. Struggle with the same thing. Sadly no input to offer because I'm in the same boat haha

@Christel Perla Currently trying to implement this - great fruit for thought though. Will try to come up with a couple of versions and then do a bit of testing
