Day 2: Evaluate Challenge
🔍 “Reflect on a Student You Can’t Stop Thinking About” Think of one student who you will never forget, because of their energy, their silence, their struggles, or their spark. Now ask yourself: What might this student be telling me without saying a word? Write down one thing you've learned from observing them, and one thing you want to try in response. Without naming the student, share a reflection: "Here’s one thing I’ve learned from my students—and how I’m choosing to respond."

One thing that I have learned is to observe and take notes of students who have challenging behaviors. Some students tend to misbehave when they feel the work is too challenging for them. When I taught third grade, I would invite the student to have lunch with me and get to spend individual time to plan how we were going to find ways to engage them during the time of struggle. I learned that sometimes you have to adjust and accomodate when needed to provide a safe environment for learning. Not just for the student who was struggling, but for the entire class.

@DelShaun Talley-Bowens This is such a huge task, but know its rewarding at the same time. If I could lend a suggestion; include the community/local music stores as well. You got this!
