Hello from the Great North. Iam retired and learned autobody through various You tube channels. I did my first project a 1992 chevy K15, did rust rpairs with pannel glue and replacement panels,so far have had good results. This truck is a two tone, Bahama blue & silver metalic, ground down to bare metal and was my first attempt of painting and believe it turned out OK for a beginner (base coat / clear coat) My second project was a 2003 dodge Ram 2500 4 x 4, Quad Cab, just repaired the box wheel wells with panel glue and replaccement panels. Had some issuies with runs and had to re sand a few times, but final result I am happy as it was single stage silver metalic a very tricky paint to get it to look good. I was cleaning up the frame so I could do some rust prevention and when I wased out the inside of the frame noticed there was no drain in the lowest part of the frame, that is when I seen the spot behind the cab and before the fuel tank the frame had rusted through. I found a frame repair kit from Rust Buster and wondered if any one else has used their kit or had any ideas what is the best rout to repair the frame? Thanks and glade to be a part of the community🙂
