❗New to the community? INTRODUCE YOURSELF! 😊
πŸ‘‹ First things first - welcome to all the new joiners! 🀝 We have a bit of a tradition here for new joiners to introduce themselves just so everyone can say hello and learn about the amazing people (you!) that are regularly joining the community. It also helps me understand more about what you are looking to get out of the community (so I can make it a better experience for you!). πŸ’¬ So, don't be shy, we're a friendly bunch... feel free to say hello using the following questions as a guide: 1. Which part of the world are you signing in from? 2. What's your background (current role, industry, ambitions for the future)? 3. What attracted you to this community? 4. What excites you most about Fabric? 5. I'm really interested in learning more about _______ ? 6. Are you looking to get Fabric certified (DP-600)? Thank you for engaging and joining us on this exciting learning journey! πŸ™ Will

Which part of the world are you signing in from? From Harvey IL. A Suburb of Chicago IL What's your background (current role, industry, ambitions for the future)? I have been in the industry since it was refered to as "Data Processing" and those who wrote code in languages like Cobol, PL1, Fortran, Pascal,SAS, C and Assembler (IBM and DEC) had the popular label of "Programmer/Analyst" (i.e. Which meant you did all the work that Data Analyst and Business Analyst labels do now. There was no specific separation of functions for the most part). Currently considered a SAS/Python/BI cloud and OS agnostic consultant/developer. What attracted you to this community? To interact and possibly glean insights on best practices in using Fabric. What excites you most about Fabric? The possibility of using Fabric as a single tool to perform the same functions that Snowflake and DataBricks do. Those tools share many of the same traits but were designed for different use cases. Fabric may be a tool that can cover most of those use cases. I'm really interested in learning more about the eventual integration in AI space Are you looking to get Fabric certified (DP-600)? I am considering it.

... And of course to state the obvious, those 3 tools (Fabric, Snowflake and Data Bricks) are all sitting on top of or integrating Spark at various times.
