Showing up for me is not stressing about food options as I’m away from home! Had a 3 course meal last night for first time in at least years! Had delicious crème brûlée! Worth every mouthful Not stressed as doing meat only day today! I know one meal doesn’t mean “failure”!!!!!

I’m on a rest week this week! No planned exercise at all apart!! I’m itching to do something but I know a weeks rest will allow my body to recover ready to restart next week. I normally take a week off training every 8-9 weeks.

Being prepared and planning ahead was definitely a strategy that made a huge difference for me at the start of this journey! I always planned and took my lunches for work. Eggs and homemade burgers are my go to for work day lunches. Or a quiche / fratata made with eggs and fried beef mince. For the last 6yrs I have planned my dinners 3-4 weeks in advance and do a weekly Shopping list to match. I found it better to order online and get it delivered. No urges to buy crap especially in the early days! I didn’t want to leave it to chance knowing that last minute choices may not be the best.

Worst Advice EVER
What is the worst advice you ever received — the one that sounded so right and did so much damage, running in the background of your life for years? Mine was either “Low Fat,” which I think we can all say was not helpful, but another was, "just try harder." It’s amazing how long it too me to see how much of my life was organized around trying harder at the thing I was never going to outrun with effort. What’s yours?

@Renee Jones - great question!!!! We need to eat “the rainbow”!!! What a crock of sh*t!!!! What other animal eats for variety??!!!! They eat for necessity!! Look at babies faces when they first eat veggies! They pull a face and that says “this is disgusting”!!! That should be a big clue! Or the other belter is that “breakfast is the most importantly meal of the day”!!! So said the marketing Sept of Kellogg!!!!
