✨ Wins
🥳 Wednesdays are for Wins and yet..
Today we are talking about our difficult-Wednesday version. This week I was thinking about something I see all the time: we make plans for the week we hope we're going to have, but usually only make one version of the plan. Then Wednesday arrives, work ran late, we're tired, something unexpected happened, and the version we planned no longer fits. So let's make this practical. Think about one thing you want to move forward this week and tell us: PLAN A: What are you planning to do? DIFFICULT-WEDNESDAY VERSION: What could you still realistically do if you don't have the time, energy or circumstances you planned for? Mine could look like: Plan A: Spend 60 minutes working on my business outreach. Difficult-Wednesday version: Send 3 emails or messages to people I genuinely want to connect with. The point isn't to make everything smaller. If Plan A works, great, do Plan A. We're deciding what still counts before life gets in the way. Drop yours below 👇

Oh I like this prompt! For me, John (husband) and I figured out a process for my progress notes. First it starts with speech to texting in a draft email some highlights from a session so even if I don't do all my notes, at the very least I'll do the speech to text and then I won't have to do the whole memory recall thing at the end of the day or at the end of the week. :) It's been a game changer. :)
👏👏👏 The minimum version is more real
One of the main pillars in my coaching program is about micro-steps and breaking down goals to a realistic actionable portion. Or, how one of my participants said: ”The minimum version is more real." I think that's true for almost everything. The workout, the project, the business, the habit… The version in our head is usually much bigger than the version we actually need. So before next week starts... What's your real minimum version?

What a great point! :) The minimum version: just show up for the next thing that I have planned and dont overthink the rest or "how much more I'm not gettin done or how much more is left". :)
🤔🚨🚨🚨 Is your engine light ON?
Sometimes when your car starts has an issue the engine light shows up on your dashboard. That way you know its time to take it to the mechanic and make sure everything is working how it should. Sometimes I wish we had something so clear as the engine light in our cars. It would be so much easier to spot when we are starting to drift off track, and we would catch ourselves faster when it happens. Obviously we don’t have an engine light in our brain lighting up, but there are a lot of clues telling us that we are losing our focus, and drifting away of our goals. Things like: • Feeling overwhelmed • Procrastinating • Saying "I'll do it tomorrow" • Getting reactive all day • Feeling tired • Trying to do everything at once The earlier you notice the warning sign, the easier it is to reconnect. So before the weekend: 1. What's one warning sign you noticed in yourself this week? 2. What's one thing you'll do next week when it shows up again?

It's so interesting because even when I actively notice my signals sometimes I still opt for pushing through or excusing it. Procrastinating is a big one for me which then leads to feeling overwhelmed even though there's clarity in steps. :) Next week (actually, starting today), I plan on reintroducing my 'work sprints', where I spend some time each day focused on a specific project/task. :) I'm about to do a work sprint on my progress notes. The sprints help me stay on top of what I need to do so that I can have time for what I want to do later on without the 'need' tos weighing on me. Happy weekend!! :)
🙄😬🤔 Do everything, all the time, all at once? 🙄😬🤔
In one of the coaching sessions, one participant said something that stuck with me: "I wanted to do everything.” "That was the problem." So before you finish the week: What's one thing you can let go of? Don’t freak out, I’m not saying just forget it forever, but just let it out for now. Maybe is something you’re worrying about, trying to solve, perfect, optimize, or control. You don’t need to do everything, all the time, all at once. 👉🏼 What's the one thing that actually matters most next week? Share it below if you want accountability. Or simply write: "My one thing is ______."

Hahaha, I'm laughing at this because this is ME. Someone recently told me "if you prioritize everything, you prioritize nothing" but I want to do allllllllllllll the things....the problem is that I don't have enough time and energy to do all the things so then I either go into choice paralysis or barely create traction because I'm trying to dabble in "everything". Today I need to focus on my progress notes. I've done none of them all week and this is what I need to do to get paid aaaaaaand to not carry in the back of my mind and that will help my brain feel less weighty. What's yours?
