How We Start Our Day Matters
Starting the day with a consistent, intentional checklist can significantly improve our focus, productivity, and emotional well-being. Start each morning by "Affirming" ourselves in the LORD! Then ask yourself the following four questions: 1. What is my "One Thing"? What is the ONE THING that must get done today no matter what? Why: Identifying the single most critical task—the one that will make you feel successful, regardless of what else happens—forces prioritization and combats procrastination. How: "If I could only achieve one thing today, what would it be?". 2. What am I grateful for today? What are 3 things I am grateful for this morning? Why: Starting with gratitude shifts your focus toward the positive, reducing stress and improving your overall attitude before tackling challenges. How: List three specific things, perhaps even one difficult situation you are finding the good in. 3. What do I look forward to? What can I get excited about or look forward to today? Why: This cultivates joy and provides energy to persevere through tough tasks, ensuring your day isn't just a long, boring to-do list. How: It could be something small, like a nice lunch or a walk outside. 4. How can I nurture myself or others? What can I do for myself or someone else to bring joy or kindness? Why: This builds emotional wellness and strengthens relationships, reminding you that productivity is not just about output. How: "Who can I surprise today?" or "How can I nurture myself physically/mentally?". Tip: Write these questions down in a journal or on a sticky note. High performers often do this before looking at their phone or email to set a proactive, rather than reactive, tone for the day.
@Dianne Carter memories have a way of bringing us happiness or sadness. Both are good! Sad because we miss our loved ones. Happiness because we remember the good times.🙂
@Dianne Carter that's a great plan. Roman wasn't built in one day, so I agree with you- pace yourself with your tasks. They will get done eventually. 😂
Life Is Meant To Be Enjoyed
Life is a gift and we were created to enjoy our life! What does it mean to enjoy life? Are you enjoying life to the fullest? I had to ask myself that question many years ago! So, I searched for the answers! The world's definition of enjoying life is: Living on one's own terms. Enjoying life as a holistic, and deeply personal pursuit of happiness, encompassing the experience of pure pleasure, gratitude, and engagement with the present moment. It is increasingly viewed as an intentional, daily, and often simple, practice that brings fulfillment by aligning actions with personal values. (Article found in Medium by Jeffrey Nielsen). Our Creator defines enjoying life as: Great satisfaction that comes from living a righteous life, knowing God, and accepting everyday blessings with a thankful heart. These blessings are: *Our Relationship with God. *Enjoying our spouse. *Enjoying our family and friends. *Finding enjoyment in our work or business. *Enjoying our church family. *Enjoying contentment in every area of our life. *Having a grateful heart. Ecclesiastes 2:24 KJV tells us that: "There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God." I chose my Creator's definition of life. I purposed in my heart to enjoy what God has blessed me with. *My salvation in the Lord. *My family and friends. *My retirement. *My home. *Each moment God blesses me with. Friends, joy is our gift from God. Don't void your gift of joy through discontentment, complaining, negative thinking or unforgiveness. Enjoying life begins when we change our way of thinking from a negative mindset to a positive mindset. Life is too short to waste on misery and complaining. We are not promised every day, so be intentional about enjoying each moment of every day. It's a gift! Reflection: 1. What needs changed in your life to enjoy each day that is given to you? 2. Today, how can you bring enjoyment to another person's life?

Check-In Time
Writing out our goals is a great step in realizing that we want change in our lives. The next step is follow through and execution! We are now entering Week 3 of the 2nd Quarter (April, May & June). I have a couple questions to keep us all on track to the finish line, such as were are you in the execution phase: ☆Have you completed your Vision Board and Life Wheel pages? ☆Have you recorded Goals 1 & 2 pages? ☆Have you completed your Brainstorm Page for your Action Steps? The above execution steps is what gives us the BIG WIN for the month of April. Please record your answers as a reply below, along with an Action Step that you are currently working on.

Check-In Time
A Little Love Note:1
Too often we allow people's attitudes and demands to control our emotions. We allow this by constantly meeting their demands or solving their problems. This becomes very draining and steals our gift of peace and joy. Eventually we will find ourselves resenting those people because of failure to set boundaries. To solve this problem and to keep our peace and joy, we need to set healthy boundaries. It's okay to say NO! It's okay to enjoy time with ourself! And, we shouldn't worry what other's think of us when we have to say NO to maintain our peace and joy. If they have a problem with our NO, then they are being selfish. We are just as important as they are! Remember that! Be Confident. Authentic. Purposeful.
