4 contributions to BookVillage - Amazon Reviews
šŸ“Œ IMPORTANT – EVERY BOOKVILLAGE USER SHOULD WATCH LESSONS 5 & 7
If you are using BookVillage seriously, there are two lessons inside the BookVillage University that you absolutely should not skip: ⭐ Lesson 5 – Promotions & Best Review Types ⭐ Lesson 7 – Using Your Amazon Account Safely In the future, these may even become mandatory modules before accessing certain platform functions. Why? Because one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming that getting and posting reviews is ā€œsimpleā€ and that they already understand everything. In reality, there are small details that can make a massive difference over the long term. A few examples from Lesson 5: • Reviews should be naturally diluted over time.Avoid receiving too many reviews too close together. Ideally, let at least a couple of days pass between one review and the next. • Personally, I strongly discourage enrolling your books in KDP Select. This also means avoiding making your books available through Kindle Unlimited if your goal is maximum long-term review stability. • Standard Unverified reviews should remain only a small percentage of your total review profile. And when possible, I recommend receiving them on paperback versions rather than Kindle versions. And regarding Lesson 7: Please follow the recommendations carefully. Over the last days, we have already started increasing the level of controls and monitoring across all BookVillage users because I am obsessed with understanding exactly how to minimize Amazon-related problems even further. At the moment, removals still represent a very small percentage of the total activity inside BookVillage. I expected to find far more removed reviews than we actually did. But here is the key point people often fail to understand: Sometimes it only takes a few Amazon reviewer accounts getting banned for all the reviews posted from those accounts to disappear at once.

These were really helpful thanks for adding them to the classroom 🄰
šŸŽ“ BookVillage University Is Now Live
We’ve just added the BookVillage University inside the Classroom section of the community. This is the official training program where I walk you through exactly how to use BookVillage the right way, from the initial setup all the way to promotions, assignments, and long-term strategy. Inside the University, you’ll find: • A complete overview of the platform • Step-by-step guidance on how to use every section • A deep dive into the best types of reviews to receive • A full lesson on how to use your Amazon account safely over time šŸ‘‰ You can access it now inside the Classroom section Let me know what you think once you go through it!

Ohh fabulous - thanks for adding this!
IMPORTANT UPDATE – ABOUT AMAZON REVIEWS REMOVAL
A few weeks ago, we ran a referendum to decide how to handle cases where Amazon does not approve some reviews, even when they are posted by users we already verified as operating correctly. Even though those cases were still relatively isolated, I spent time analyzing the situation in depth. As always, the goal is to give you early signals and solutions before problems scale. Using Verified Paid Purchase reviews on ebooks is still safer than non-verified reviews. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is that Amazon is now giving more weight to the overall behavior of the account, especially its purchase history. When a review is not approved or gets removed, you should treat it as a silent warning. If your goal is to use the same account long-term (50, 100+ reviews), relying only on ebook reviews, even verified ones, may no longer be enough. From what we’re seeing, the most stable accounts are the ones that behave like real Amazon users: • they occasionally buy physical products • they use a real delivery address • they sometimes leave verified reviews on those products Even small purchases are enough. What matters is showing Amazon that there’s a real person behind the account. On the other hand, accounts used almost only for ebooks are more likely to run into issues over time. So in practice, this is what you should do: • don’t use your account only for ebooks • make regular physical purchases (even low-cost items) • aim for about 1 physical purchase every ~20 ebook reviews (or every month) • use your real delivery address • avoid posting too many reviews in a short time • never have more than 2 reviews pending at the same time Also avoid repetitive patterns: • don’t always buy ebooks at the same price • don’t always post reviews on the same days šŸ‘‰ The goal is simple: don’t look like a system To keep everything smooth, make sure your Amazon reviewer profile is public, so we can easily verify that your activity remains balanced. Otherwise, we may occasionally need to request additional checks.

Ok thanks for this.
šŸ‘‹ Welcome to the BookVillage Community
Hi everyone, I’m Adriano, founder of BookVillage.pub I created this community because I felt there was a real need for a space entirely dedicated to one of the most important topics for every self-publisher: Amazon book reviews. Getting reviews is something that matters to anyone publishing on Amazon, yet I often see that this topic is rarely discussed in depth. Many publishers have questions but don’t always know who to ask. And when they do ask, the answers are often vague or incomplete. The goal of this community is to change that. Here you can ask any question you have about reviews and we’ll always do our best to provide clear answers backed by real experience and data. Your questions will also help shape future content in the Classroom section, such as: • short tutorial videos • straight-to-the-point articles • explanations of different review strategies You are free to ask questions not only about BookVillage, but about any service or strategy related to getting reviews and self-publishing in general. You’re also welcome to introduce yourself and share your experience, including: • what services you have used in the past • what review strategies you have tried before • what worked well and what didn’t This way we can build a real source of feedback and knowledge that will also help future members of the community. Feel free to introduce yourself in the comments and share your experience. And if you know other publishers or independent authors who might benefit from these discussions, feel free to invite them to join the community. šŸ“š IMPORTANT: BOOKVILLAGE UNIVERSITY Inside the Classroom section, you’ll also find the BookVillage University, where I explain in depth how BookVillage works, how Amazon reviews actually behave over time, and what I currently believe are the safest long-term approaches for both receiving and posting reviews. And there are two lessons in particular that I strongly recommend every user watches carefully:

Hi. I’m Gemma and am brand new to publishing. My book is due to be listed on Amazon week 1 May. So I have joined the community and book village online to start working on the review process behind the scene in readiness for launch. I have an online learning academy which teaches Microsoft Apps and more recently Ai. My community on Skool is designed to support that business as is my new book. Thank you.
