This one hit me hard and deep ...
Over the years, I have received many warm mails from beautiful people. There is one that I keep going back to. I just have to share this with you: "On June, I wrote to you here to tell you about my health condition. Since 2019, my heart rate has been about 130 BPM. After open heart surgery, it was still around 120 to 130 BPM. I have to take Betaloc Zok daily to keep BPM between 110 to 120 and it is called Atrial Flutter. I asked you if Breatheology can treat this problem. You taught me breathing exercises and yoga increase the vagal tone and heart rate variability, which has a positive effect on both atrial flutter andย atrial fibrillation. On August 2, my atrial flutter was cured. My heart rate is back to about 70 BPM and BP normal. It was a miracle and the knowledge I have in breathing helped me to cut off Betaloc Zok in time so my body can take over the natural heart beat. With warmest regards, Peter" It was great to see Peter improve so fast, after dealing with years of stress and health problems. It's also a good reminder to not wait too long, and start applying a solution now. To make this easier, the Breathing Fundamentals program that has helped so many people, with their health, and their breath holds, is now at reduced price. Post Your Breath Hold (Week 43 Oct 20th 2025 โ€“ Oct 26th 2025)
Aloha, Welcome to Week 43 of the 2025 Breath Hold Challenge! Are you ready for your weekly breath holds? Here is your nugget of the week: ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐˜† Went through the first week, and had mixed results? The breath hold is a snapshot of your current state of mind. The key is listening to your body: - If you had poor sleep or high stress, expect different results - Recovery from other workouts affects breath hold performance - Find what works for you personally (AM vs PM, sitting vs lying down, etc.) - Don't force it - "mastery through softness" Try different variations. How do you feel? Is it easier? More challenging? ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐—ก๐—ฒ๐˜„ ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ? Here is how it works: Step 1: Take an inhale, start your stopwatch & hold your breath. Step 2: Post your time here, get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Let's go & double your breath hold! ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ

Hi I been doing deep breathing and one dive before every workout lately ๐Ÿ‘ Also doing a deep inhale with slow exhale between sets. It helps with recovery or at least I feel so๐Ÿ˜… Also doing the same before sleeping ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ‘ Have a nice weekend ๐Ÿ™
Post Your Breath Hold (Week 42: Oct 13th 2025 โ€“ Oct 19th 2025)
Welcome to Week 42 of the 2025 Breath Hold Challenge! Every week, we come together. We hold our breaths, share experience & help each other succeed. Here is some great juice from last week to up your game. Breath holding is an experiment with your body, mind and breath. @Ayush Tiwari noticed that breath holds came easier at the end of the day, when he was almost about to tumble over of tiredness. What is going on? As @Manuel Ruep explained, fatigue overrides the "panic loop", making the breath hold "easier". How can you use this to your advantage? Here are some ideas: - Train in dim light, - Do the breath holds before going to bed instead of in the morning, - Do a few light stretching exercises in the morning to down regulate the nervous system.

Which one is better? Breath hold on inhale, or exhale? The answer is; it really depends. The main goal of the challenge is to build COโ‚‚ tolerance. This may not be easy, or comfortable, at first (it's a challenge, after all). But stick to it; and you'll notice a sense of being in control; even when the going gets tough. Remember... ๐˜พ๐™Šโ‚‚ ๐™๐™ค๐™ก๐™š๐™ง๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š ๐™„๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ก ๐™๐™ง๐™–๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™‚๐™ง๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™™ - Most discomfort isnโ€™t from lack of oxygen but from rising COโ‚‚. - The goal isnโ€™t to fight that feeling, but to get comfortable with it. - Over time your body and mind learn that the first urge to breathe isnโ€™t an emergency. ๐—š๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐˜‚๐—ฝ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜? Be sure to follow the following Pro Tip to relieve some of the pressure; and break the two-minute barrier (or; whatever was your previous limit). ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฝ: Fill up your lungs to about 70% of maximum capacity; or until you feel comfortable. Inhale fully; and gently release some air until the pressure on your chest feels more manageable. Until you hold your breath for 3-4 minutes or longer; the duration of the hold is going to be purely determined by your ability to stay calm; and the extra inhaled air does not offset the discomfort in the chest.
