Ecom / Service Business Owner Looking for AI Automation Ideas 🚀
Hey everyone — I’m currently building in ecommerce and the service space, and I’m looking for ways to make the business run smoother with AI automations. Right now I’m especially interested in automating things like: Lead follow-up Customer support Order / client onboarding CRM updates Email workflows Simple AI agents for repetitive tasks Website improvements / conversion fixes I’m not super technical, but I understand the business side and I know there are probably a lot of things we’re doing manually that could be automated. Also, our website could definitely use a refresh, especially if it helps with better lead capture, trust, and conversions. If anyone here is building AI automations, n8n workflows, AI agents, or websites for ecommerce / service businesses, I’d love to connect, learn what’s possible, and maybe get some ideas. Curious: what’s one automation you’d recommend every ecommerce or service business owner should have in place? Drop your thoughts below or DM me — happy to connect 🚀
The Browser Superpower You're Not Using: Bookmarklets
I was working with a RAG system where I had to delete Qdrant records for testing purposes, and the deletion process required two steps. Do that a few dozen times and you want to throw your laptop out the window. So I made a bookmarklet, basically a bookmark that runs JavaScript instead of opening a page. One click, both steps done. No extensions, no installs, works in any browser. Saved me 4-5 minutes every time I had to test. If you've never used bookmarklets, they're an easy way to automate repetitive browser stuff. Just paste some JS into a bookmark URL, click it on the page you need, and boom. You go from two clicks to one.

This is actually a really underrated tip. I always forget bookmarklets exist, but for small repetitive browser tasks this sounds way faster than building a full extension or opening another tool. Especially useful when the problem is just “I need to save a few clicks every time.”

For me it’s probably 2 and 3. Getting leads is one thing, but following up consistently and turning that into booked calls is where a lot of money gets lost. Especially when things get busy and replies slip through the cracks. I feel like this is where automation can actually make a big difference.
What happened in the AIS+ this month (and why I can't shut up about it)
A few weeks back, @Pedro Gomez posted an idea inside AIS+ Plus: "What if we paid each other instead of Google?" 81 likes. 114 comments. The room lit up. The idea was simple. Think about it: We all talk to people who'd be a great client for us... but sometimes they AREN'T a great client for us. Meaning you could be targeting home service businesses. Someone else works enterprise. Another person does real estate. So instead of saying "sorry, I can't help you build that" and leaving that customer without any help... what if we sent them to each other? That was a powerful thought, and we all ran with it. I took it a step further and grabbed the people who raised their hands and actually organized it. We're not "planning to collaborate." We're doing it with real intros underway. Here are Two from the last couple weeks: @Denis Patru is getting introduced to a telehealth clinic lead of mine that wants to build AI agents. I personally don't serve clinics. I just like connecting good people to good talent. That intro is Denis's now. He's building out a powerful blueprint for that prospect now. @Kaonou Thao wanted to land coaching clients. So I built her a Sales Navigator scraper that pulls warm prospects and spits out a ready-to-use lead list. She's working that list right now and I am helping her with every step of the way. That's what the AIS paid room actually is. Not a feed but really a team of peers willing to take action. Speaking of action... since we took action and built a custom tool lead list tool for the community, I thought I'd share the love here too. So If you'd like a custom lead list just like I make for Kaonou, let me know down below. (Let me who your core customer is and I can get you a list asap.) My hope is that a list like this can move you in the right direction financially so you can just he plus community with us. Can't wait to hear from you soon!

This makes a lot of sense. Most people already have leads they can’t serve properly, but they just let them disappear instead of passing them to someone who can help. Feels like a simple referral system inside the community could create a lot of wins for everyone.
