Weekend Check In!!
How's it going? What did you do to stay active this weekend? Did you move enough? If not, there's still time! Don't give up and say I'll try again tomorrow. You can still get some movement in today, even if it doesn't look the way you initially planned or thought it would! I thought I'd be out of town this morning and get up at sunrise and do a recovery run from my race yesterday. Plans completely changed, but I walked the dogs this morning and am going to head out again to walk a couple miles. End the weekend on a high note. :)

I got a 12 mile run in with some friends!!!! It was nice navigate that with others.
Late nights and early mornings
This was a hot one. I did 2 miles before the 5k since it was part of the plan for the day. We had a wedding to go to last night followed by a 3:30 run and a 5:30 5k start time. It’s creeping up into the summer heat so stay hydrated everyone. I have 6 miles tomorrow so the plan is early bedtime tonight.

Weekend Running!
Who is running this weekend? I have a 5k tomorrow and I am excited. It feels like it has been forever since I had a race even though the last one was only 3 weeks ago. lol. It might be true that racing > running. 😉

I have a group run tomorrow with the ambassadors for the Phx 10k and Marathon. We are running the 10k route so I am excited to do this with others

This was rough and I did pace with people. Next time I plan to do better since I know what to expect with the hills. Overall I had a blast though

What is everyone doing to celebrate? Let's post some pictures! I completely forgot to take any at an early celebration last night, but I am going to another this evening and will take pics! Rumor has it there will be glitter and cake. Who can say no!?

I ended up doing some strenght training followed by a one mile run since it wasn’t a run day for me
Summer Training!
Alright! What's going on out there? It's almost OFFICIALLY Summer which means training in warmer temps, putting together training schedules, and looking ahead to Fall races! Where can I help? Training schedules? Hydration and fueling? Picking a race? Heat training tips? BUG spray!? It's Wondercide, by the way! That's the way to keep yourself chemical free and (mostly) bite free!

Definitely could have used the bug spray this weekend, so I am going to grab some for the boys(and me). It’s already starting to warm up this way so I am making sure to always run with my nuun and maybe use it again mid day. I have 159 days before the Phoenix 10k and marathon(marathon for me) and 194 days for Tucson 50k. The official training for the full won’t begin for another month so this month I get to play with my miles, try on some shoes with group runs, and take some time off to spend hiking in Payson with the family and then to Laughlin to see the grandparents. So two weeks there won’t be a ton of running so this month looks different and I can focus on hydration and starting to dial in eating because I struggle with that just because I am on the go.
