Post Your Breath Hold (Week 40: Sep 30th - Oct 6th)
Post all your Breath Hold Times here! Let's go & double your breath hold! 🧑‍🏫 Step 1: Take an inhale, start your stopwatch & hold your breath. Step 2: Post your time here so you can get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Already participated last week, or last month? No worries, you can post and do it as much as you want (as a matter of fact, we'd only encourage it 😎) And if you done the challenge once (or twice), feel free to shake it up a little bit. Do exhale breath holds only for a week, or take it easy and do 1-2 breath holds a day without going for a max. Variety is the spice of life. Get to level 4 in the Leaderboards, and you unlock the Superhuman Lungs training protocol (who doesn't want to have lungs like the Human Dolphin?) Post all seven days, and you may be the lucky winner of the Breath Hold Mastery course 😎 And last (but not least) a little shout out to last weeks top 10 leaderboard: @Denis Blanchard @Curro Cachinero @Edward Brittain @Paul den Oude @Kristopher Pensenti @Mir Jam @David Broberg Wilby @Tina Mosner @Luca Pinelli @Elliot Raboy

w6d1 2 minutes of breath-hold :) After watching a motivating YouTube video, I thought, let’s give it a try. I was on my couch, relaxed, opened my eyes at 1:45, and thought I could make it to 2:00. I barely felt my diaphragm. And no preparation at all… It gives me confidence again :) This morning, I was in half lotus; perhaps I need to train while lying down if I want to beat my records, otherwise just enjoy the moment and the relaxation.

W6d2 I feel my diaphragm better, but I still suspect that the smell of cigarettes from my neighbor is both reducing my breath-hold times and making me feel uneasy. 1:30

W5d7 Poor performance, as if I had gone back to the beginning or worse. Fear of diaphragm and/or internal stress 1:23

@Denis Blanchard Yes, that’s what I was also telling myself. I’ve lost the habit of the sensation because I haven’t pushed for several days. -> I’ll give it a try.
Free CO2 Tolerance Masterclass (Gert Leroy & Stig Severinsen)
How do you become more effective at breath holding? That’s why we are here for... So, what would be a better person to ask than a freediver? I could not think of anyone, so I instead, let’s ask two freedivers 🙃 📺 Tune in for a free CO2 Tolerance Masterclass with Gert Leroy & Stig Severinsen Enjoy!

@Mir Jam Ok, but if we want to improve, we must push our limits a little, right? For now, I'm following the 7 day challenge program, and changing exercises every day.

@Denis Blanchard I've just tried superhuman lung workout today. How many times a week do you recommend ?

w4d2 Didn’t really feel like doing exercises, so I meditated. And after meditation, I did a dive for about 1:30 :)

@Mir Jam It was really new and cool, with chanting at the beginning and the end. I'm new to yoga and wanted something more dynamic, but it's a session I can follow every week and realy close from where I work, so it's cool :) I didn’t know the mantra either, and I thought it would be fun to share it with you 🙂 Oh, and thank you for the chackra picture, the teacher mentioned them briefly at the beginning.

W3d7 1:19 1:37 1:50 2:20 10x 1:1 + 3 warm-ups between each. Some kind of visualization + mantra to stay peaceful. On the last one, when I started to feel the urge to breathe, I looked at my timer and saw I was close to 2 minutes or above, and I felt the fear start to disappear. When I stopped at 2:20, I had the feeling it was possible to go even further. Is it normal to have some memory confusion? I'm not sure if I opened my eyes before or after 2 minutes... In any case, I beat my personal best of 2:01 from week 1, so I'm proud of myself :)
