Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is pause. Not to quit.Not to give up.Not to avoid life. Just pause long enough to hear yourself again. Many of us have spent so much time carrying responsibilities, expectations, worries, and the emotions of others that we forget what our own voice sounds like. This week, ask yourself: ✨ What have I outgrown?✨ What conversations no longer belong in my future?✨ What am I carrying that was never mine to hold?✨ What would choosing myself look like today? Growth is not always adding more. Sometimes growth is recognizing what has expired and lovingly laying it down. You don’t have to earn rest. You don’t have to justify peace. You don’t have to apologize for becoming someone new. The version of you that carried yesterday got you here. The version of you that creates tomorrow may require a different choice. Today, return home to yourself. Take a breath. Who Is God? Flying gives me time to think uninterrupted. And the things that move through my mind are not “What’s for dinner?” When is the last time you had to identify yourself? What did you say? “I am…” “My name is…” Can someone know who you are without hearing your voice? Without touching you? Without you first identifying yourself? Have you ever met someone whose name you never knew, yet they left an imprint on your life? Did the absence of a name make the experience any less real? So… who is God? “I would love to meet God,” many say. “If I met God, I would…” others proclaim. But how would you know if you met God? What would stand out? How could God convince you? Would God need to give you a name? Would you need to touch God first? Would you want miracles? A halo? A robe of white? Would God float through the sky… or quietly walk beside you? Who is God? Black? Caucasian? Chocolate brown? Asian? Native? Alien? Wait… Aliens may or may not even have a color. God, if I were to meet You today, I would simply want You to feel my love without touch, hear compassion without my words, and witness kindness for no particular reason… just because. And if you were to meet God now, without a name tag attached, who would you be? Because perhaps God has already met you where you are, over and over again. The real question is not: “Have you met God?” The real question is: Did you recognize Him in the stranger, the child, the silence, the forgiveness, the breath, the moment you chose love instead of fear? Maybe God was never asking to be seen. Maybe God was asking to be reflected. And maybe every single day, through us, God introduces Himself again. - Nekesha Burrell

We Have It All As I boarded and settled onto my recent flight ✈️, the pilot expressed the years of service he and his co-pilot had given. As he reassured us, the passengers, of his dedication to getting us safely to our destination, he also explained the weather we might encounter. Then he said something simple:“Myself, I can do so much… but Mother Nature, I cannot fight with.” I glanced upon the beautiful hills of Jamaica that I am yet again leaving, and I realized the passage of time reflected in every laughter I have shared, every hug that embraced me, every breeze that whispered, “Welcome home.” And breathe. I remembered my own technique.I had to return to center. Why do I do what I do?Is it for more abundance?For greener pastures?Or for a call I received from the Divine years ago? I took another conscious breath, now gazing at the most beautiful aqua-green-blue-mint color where the ocean and land met beneath me. It was so beautiful, I do not believe it fully exists within our earthly color spectrum. I sat there in awe of how abundant we already are.Of how much God shows up every single day.Of the lesson I was meant to learn today. And I whispered: “Thank you, God.I have everything. You provide everything. I need nothing.I am simply passing through, and I have a Divine tour guide.” We were not given maps in this life.Only incomplete blueprints,blank canvases,and an array of paint. As each day surrenders the lessons it leaves behind, we choose:love or regret, compassion or waste, life or fear. As I gazed from my window over 10,000 feet above the ground,I surrendered. To knowing that I choose to be as light as the clouds I sat amongst. I sat there in tears observing,asking to remember each day that I am merely a water particle within the construct of divine life.A speck of light projecting God’s light. And when I choose separation from that light,there is darkness,regret,and suffering. So today, I surrender.
