Week 1- Day 3
Hey Ladies! Day 3 Morning Gratitude: What's ONE thing you're capable of now that once felt impossible? (Parenting skill, work skill, life skillโ€”anything counts!) Your Presence โ‰  Your Help Biggest misconception about resilience: "If I don't help, I'm abandoning them." Wrong. You can be present WITHOUT rescuing. This is what that looks like: โŒ Rescuing: "Let me show you how to do it." โœ… Present Leadership: "You've got this. I'll check back in a minute." [walks away] โŒ Rescuing: Sitting next to them during entire time for homework โœ… Present Leadership: "I'm in the kitchen if you need me. Try it first." โŒ Rescuing: "Don't cry, it's okay, let's calm down." โœ… Present Leadership: "This is hard. You can handle hard things." Your presence = safety. Your help = learned helplessness. Your day 3 Practice: After you say "You've got this, I'll check back," physically walk away. To another room. Even if it's just for 30 seconds. Your absence gives their brain permission to try. ๐Ÿ’ฌ What's hardest for you: walking away or staying silent while someone struggles a bit?

@Valerie Leveille Being comfortable with being uncomfortable. In this season of life, every room that I walk into I feel uncomfortable not because of what someone did but because I feel like I donโ€™t belong (imposter syndrome). So I had to switch my mindset and ask myself, what can I learn from the people in the room and your input matters no matter how big or small.
Week 1- Day 2
Hey Ladies! Day 2 Morning Gratitude: Name ONE person in your life (including yourself!) who showed capability or resilience yesterday. What did they do? Write it down in your journal. The Rescue Response Lives in Your Body This is what happens in the rescue moment: Someone struggles โ†’ Your chest tightens โ†’ Your breath gets shallow โ†’ Your hands reach to help โ†’ You jump in. It happens in 3 seconds. Today you're learning to recognize the physical rescue response before you act on it. Where it shows up: - Tight chest or shoulders - Holding your breath - Hands reaching automatically - Feeling urgency in your body - Your Day 2 Practice: When you feel the urge to jump in today, pause and ask yourself: "Where do I feel this rescue urge in my body?" Then take 3 deep breaths. Drop your shoulders. Then decide if you need to step in. Most of the time? You don't. The magic: Once you can feel it, you can interrupt it. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Where do YOU feel the rescue urge in your body? Chest? Shoulders? Hands?

@Valerie Leveille Chest but also in my breathing. I would notice my breath gets increasingly rapid.
