Get your book in a SWAG BAG- Yoga Festival
Hi authors... I have secured an opportunity for 2 - 3 Red Thread Authors! Get your book into the hands of people who need it... @bigbearyogafestival will put your book in their swag bag! Things to consider: 1) Are these your ideal readers? 2) Are you willing to donate 📚 50-75 copies of your book? 3) What is your desired outcome from this exposure? If you can say yes to the first two questions... share your ROI /desired outcome in the chat. 👇

Chapter submitted!
My Split chapter is in! While this was my little brain child, it was much harder to write this chapter than I had originally anticipated when I first pitched the idea. I had so many different versions of a chapter that I thought I would write versus the one that actually came up. I still have drafts of these other chapters sitting in my drive - I'm sure they will serve a purpose, just not at this moment. This chapter of life (pun intended) has proven to be busier than expected and some shifts have had to be made. I'm learning to be ok with those shifts. I'm beginning my 40s and do not plan on slowing down, just moving more intentionally. So maybe this chapter is a reminder that things may not be going in the direction you thought, they're going in a direction you may need. If you still haven't submitted your chapter, let's work to get it in so we can give feedback. Even if the chapter isn't finished, throw it in there and maybe the feedback will give you the spark you need to get to the finish line! Now I'm going to go change my car battery, do some yard work, bake some brownies and make some lemonade!

Yay, sister! So pleased to witness your beautiful journey of becoming the Youest You. Powerful, smiling & really epically enjoying your life. For anyone writing a chapter for Split. I’ve mentored a few chapters before. I have seen many drafts in many forms. No shame in sharing your Shitty 1st Draft with others. It’s meant to not great! We expect it to not be great. The best writers never spit out a perfect publishable chapter on the 1st try. The best writers know that allowing everything to flow, allows gems 💎 to emerge from the sea of words & thoughts your spill out of the drafts you writing. It’s a multi-step process like panning for gold. But 1st you have to have a lot of dirt pored into the pan. What good does it do to be upset about the dirt you put into the pan? The more raw material you put in pan, the higher the chances that flecks & chunks of gold come with it! Allow 2 peer/ co-authors to pour water into the pan & help you find the golden nuggets. It’s also been my experience that each & every time, an author felt stuck & might want to hide, that my reaching out to them had a huge impact. Reach out to an author that resonated with you on some level. Tell them how you were/ are feeling at your stage of the writing process. Invite them to share. Offer to give them feedback. Each of these conversations I had gave the authors a chance to RELEASE something. Something shifted for them & me in the conversation after giving feedback. Usually something “clicked” & the author felt more freedom to bring clarity to their readers/ audience. I often got unstuck in my writing when I shared my work with my favorite co author. Especially when she reminded me that I’m writing for my audience. Here are some Feedback Questions to ponder for a Developmental Editing: Via Dr. Adrienne MacIan A former editor for Red Thread 🪄The Magic Questions 🪄 - What pops (what resonated / stayed with you)? - What questions do you have? - What were your biggest take aways? -Is there a part of the chapter that could use more clarity?
