🎨 What's Your Hobby?
Not allowed to mention "Skool" 😄 What do you like to do apart from working? Personally, I like exercising, I like to spend time on making food, and I do a little bit of reading when I get time. I think those are my hobbies. 👇Vote yours and Comment what specifically 😊

@Paul Sirvinskas Oh, I love writing. Especially writing by hand. It forces my chaotic mind to slow down and really figure out what it is I'm trying to convey. After a few weeks of journaling by hand, I typed up a roughly 6,000 word document for my community in one sitting. Complete with a Table of Contents and footnotes with references. I'm *that* nerd. 😆 I can format an ebook from a Word document. I live for this stuff. You seem to do a good job of getting your point across in a way thay conveys professionalism and friendliness. It doesn't show that you don't enjoy it. If you ever have any specific questions about writing, reach out. As an editor, I specialize in new authors because I have a "teaching" style in everything I do. I educate my customers on insurance. I educate my kids whenever I get the opportunity. Teaching feeds my soul, so I'm more than happy to do it.

@Paul Sirvinskas Cool beans. 😎 I will be creating a separate community for that. Elisheva Jones and her sanctuary is trauma-focused. Indigo Siren 888 will be teaching writers primarily about voice. There are plenty of resources for structure and grammar, etc. But in an age where AI is becoming prevalent, readers are going to burn out on that generated voice if they are compelled to read it in the first place. Mastering one's voice has always been (or should be) a priority for writers, but there are deeper levels to it now. We don't seek out words on a screen; we read to feel deeply, think deeply, or both. Anyone can write. The trick is learning how to bleed onto the page and survive the ordeal.

Everyone, please welcome @Alli Gatlin 🎉 It's very good to have you, I'm sure we have talked in Chris's group, and perhaps somewhere else? Alli, this post is a great place to introduce yourself - tell us what you do and what your Community’s about (shameless promotion allowed 💙) By the way, don’t forget to check out the pinned comment “How it Works” where you’ll find a link to book our call :)

@Alli Gatlin 💯 There's a difference between who we ARE and the roles we fill in the lives of others. Once you really see that, you cannot be manipulated. You are who YOU believe you are. No one else gets a say in it. Keep that fire burning.

@Alli Gatlin Same! Discernment is on the rise. The whole paradigm is shifting. More and more of us every day. It's about time. 😁
📚 Weekly Topic - Personalization (Hidden 💎 in Community Building)
Do you like when a Community owner mentions you publicly? Your post gets pinned. You’re mentioned in a post. I get that small moment of excitement. A quick “What’s happening?" But in a nice way. Personalization is a strong psychological concept. And because communities run on psychology…it’s important to have. It’s one of the simplest ways to build a real Community - not just a group. You might have noticed I do it often in my posts. I think we should do it as much as possible. Without limit. Some good ways that work for me: 🎉 Individual welcoming posts 🔔 Mention people in posts. 🔖 Tag people in the comments. 🏆 Share members’ win. 👀 highlight when someone’s doing something good. 📌 Pin your members posts. I want to give props to @Angela Perry for doing it in her community. She shoutouts a member who’s doing something well in her community every week. 🎖️ An amazing example for us! 🗨️Who else is doing something similar, or thinking about doing it?

💯 works on me. Lol I had a community leader pin my post in her group yesterday and I blushed! I am a 43-year-old woman. I BLUSHED. Psychology, man. I'll definitely have to do that for my members. It really does feel like such an honor, and I'd love to help someone else experience that.
How's Your Community Doing?
I'd love to hear about your Community. 📚 Learned something about your community? 👉 Doing something well? 🙈 Having a problem? 🎖️ Introduced a new activity? If you could say 1 thing about your community this week - what would it be?

I'm brand new to the platform, so my community is just me for now. But I did learn how to create a course. I celebrate learning any new thing, so... Neuroplasticity for the win!

@Paul Sirvinskas I accidentally lied. I do have one member aside from me. Lol But yeah, I'mexcited to see where this goes. Heavy golden retriever energy right now. Feeling like I'm on the right track and the universe is patting me on the head with a warm smile and a, "Good girl." ☺️
