Massively inspired by yesterday's Marathoners in Brighton so I'm going to stick to my 5k 2 10k plan and get 3 runs in this week even though I walked a lot of my 8k run on Saturday and struggled on the 3K shake out on Friday eve.
I went for a 5k run on Wednesday but just as I hit 4km, I saw a bloke I dated who ghosted me. This immediately put me off my stride and I tried to carry on but within 5 minutes id quit 😥. I was annoyed at myself and also surprised that something like that could just shut my run down. I did some reading on how the nervous system influences your running. I attempted 5k again yesterday and ran exactly the same path to tell the nervous system it was "safe" and not only did I complete, I did it in one of my fastest times. Onwards 😁
